You mean pirates loving shakky & Oda showing shakky as a treasure? I mean, yeah, it's a bit pushy, but it's logical in the romanticization of OP, plus it's made with respect and without disrespecting the character of Shakky while showing that the real relationship was there all along thus going in depth in something we didn't knew we needed by showing us a loving old couple's beginning.
I mean... I loved this moment. Why wouldn't you?
The celestial Dragon saw Shakky as a prize, the pirate saw Shakky as a
treasure. I think you are mistaking clearly what Oda depicted here. Shakky is, for pirates, what nami, or Usopp or Robin are for Luffy. They are his treasure. Of course they are delusionnal about their chances with her & it can be objectifying yea, but Shakky is always represented with full agency, even in captivity.
Nop. He is just not a woman beater. I think you have a rather simplistic way of looking at feminism. But this is not the place to talk about this, we wouldn't want to see this thread go into oblivion wouldn't we
Sanji is sexist. This is a fact. But him not wanting to hit women is not what makes him sexist. That's actually the opposite.
Stay away from people who say "well if women wants equality then I should be able to hit them as well". People who say that... yeah.. Be careful..
Yeah, sanji has a missplaced chevalry with women, but he also literally stayed in whole cake to save his entire family about to be killed, brother included. He saved Usopp from Enel. He saved Gin from hunger. He helped Zoro in Wano and saved Momo. He saved and helped KInemon in Punk Hazard. He avenged Usopp against Franky.
