Will it live up to the hype? Probably not. It’s shaping up to be the longest running and most hyped mystery in manga history and it may very well hold that title till the sun explodes

I don’t think there’s really anything it could possibly be that would live up to the hype that Oda has generated

But the One Piece itself will serve an actual purpose. Of that I’m 100% sure

Then don't create incredible expectations. Oda was always very clear: The point is not in the treasure.

Now.. there will be a treasure. But if you really wanna expect something it's for it to belore relevant and funny. That's all. (at least for the moment)

Its already to be confirmed as something that will help defeat the WG. We know this from WBs death speech and Roger's FB with Oden.

Exact function and design of that is unknown obviously, but we know already that it exacts a purpose with the ancient weapons to overthrow the government and change the world.

A good natured person like Luffy wants to make the world free with said status/power. An evil natured person like Blackbeard wants to control it.

Regardless, set expectations there, because thats almost certainly what it is designed to do.

Yeah thats true,after all these years of hype,everyone has their own expectations on the main mysteries of the story,so there is no way that everyone will be satisfied with the answers. The One Piece ending will be a controversial one,like almost all the endings of the big franchises of the last years (Lost,Game of Thrones,etc.) so yeah,whatever the One Piece is,it wont probably live up to the hype of 30 years of theories
