Plus Im not even sure how you scale him down to appropriate size
Without a shrink devil fruit, don't count on that.
he also seems waaaaaay too strong to the point where yeah Zoro and Sanji might be above him eventaully but then I feel like he throws the rest of the crew way off power dynamic. Like before this it felt like Jinbe wasnt "too" far behind the monster trio. Add Loki and I feel like everyone has to eclipse Jinbe by several orders of magnitude.
Exactly the problem me and @Tyki_Mikk tirelessly reiterate. Loki would invalidate the need for the lesser strawhats to do anything every again (and you're absolutely coping if you believe otherwise).

Then you have the BB match up issue, his opponent would obviously be Wolf (because Kajiu vs Kajiu) . But Loki punks the bloke lol. Even on a bad day.

Yep, exactly my concern too.

If it were, for example, Kuma, at least he's strong but he's never felt like this impossible wall that eclipses a lot of the crew per se. He'd probably scale between Jinbe and Sanji nicely or something. Loki given everything he has just seems way too broken, and thats even before seeing his powers lol

Again, I use Kuma as an example but honestly Im just doubting anyone at this point.

Idk, I still think Loki will just play his endgame role like Yamato, Carrot, Shirahoshi and any other sovereign/ally to Luffy outside of the Grand Fleet. He's definitely ruling Elbaf while Hadjrudeen stays in Luffy's fleet at least imo.

I'd still want it to be Kuma, just given his backstory and relevance to the crew, but I think that ship has sailed already too.
Loki will be aboard the Noah with the rest of Galleila imo. He won’t be a straw hat, he’ll be an ally though like Shirahoshi (legit could be the second sovereign the Seakings were talking about)

Agreed, that seems to be his role. I can even see him setting sail again towards Punk Hazard (if thats them) and finding them if thats the plan. Loki might honestly have the last cover story in the series for all we know.

I don’t think Galleila are the frozen giants from Punk Hazard because the Seakings seemingly alluded to Galleila at the end of FMI.

I dont think they are dead, thats what I mean. I feel like easy to explain them being revived, repairing Noah and maybe being the giants the operate Pluton (assuming they are the ones that passed down the plans to the modern Galley-La shipwrights

Fair. I feel like they’re alive somewhere as well. The Seakings seemingly know where and I think Loki voyaging to FI worried about Shirahoshi after Elbaf will lead him to Galleila for his endgame role

The problem with size, the fact that doesn't really fit into the crew.
I can't see him joining and I would bet 99% that he wont join.

Dude is already now most likely one-two leagues above Zoro or Sanji.
Someone strong like this wont join the crew.

Oda wont make Sanji or Zoro weaker than a new crewmember.

You guys gotta chill with the Loki wank lol
Sure he's gonna be prove to be very strong and might very well be a solid top tier range but anything above that is extremely unlikely imo and the strongest indication of that is the fact that he's still "growing". Only way that a side character that folks have above Kaido for instance is getting any stronger is gonna be via Domi-Reversi or Imu's contract buff. Moreover a character of that level is not going to be outright losing to Shanks much less be treated as Luffy's inferior. Then there's the fact that Loki is 63 which is 21 in human years (i.e. Giants live 3 times longer than humans) so he's bascially the same age as Zoro and Sanji. Safe bet for Loki right now I think is old legend tier and I reckon Zoro and Sanji are gonna be right around there maybe even higher by the end of this arc. So I don't think Loki's strength is a deterent to him joining the crew.

Anwyays strength-aside, we are basically get Rocks/Harald 2.0 with Luffy and Loki in the present timeline.
In an ideal world in the flashback, Harald would've eaten the legendary devil fruit and accepted his friend's invite to join his crew. In the current timeline, Loki seems to have eaten it and unlike Harald I think he joins hands with the standout figure of the current gen is willing to wage war on the WG.

Loki's already gotten the invite from Luffy all that's left is for him to see why Luffy is worth following. Plus with the revelations of the flashback Hadrujin's justification for keeping Loki chained has gone up in smoke.

Backstory and unqiueness wise he also fits the mold of a SH. I'm acutally looking forward to seeing the SHs reaction to Loki's eyes and willing to bet is gonna be 100% different from the way Elbaf is reacted to him till now. Luffy will prolly have stareyes or some shit lol

This man is underselling Waban by a lot :risisweat:
@kekaro
I'm not lol just think both Zoro and Sanji are going to be making significant strides PL wise this arc which will put then firmly in that top tier category so reckon they'd be comparable to the old legends. That said are Zoro or Sanji gonna be able to make Teach avoid confrontation or put the fear god in Luffy so much so that one of the wings jumps in to help? Extremely doubt it. Old Legends are gonna be capable of feats worthy of their pedigree even if they are not as strong as they were in their primes. They are legends for a reason.

I know Yamato is joining the crew (probably at the end of this arc) and yet y'all have almost never seen me bickering in this thread with people who thinks Yamato won't join.
I know I have good reason to believe Yamato will join too, and others are either trolling or being ignorant of evidence, but I guess I engage anyway just to further expose their ignorance. lol

While I like Loki and him joining would be dope but similar too Shirahoshi and Momonosuke (and maybe carrot) might be too important to join
Yamato like Jinbe plans to temporarily stay on their islands but making it back to Luffy. So I do believe that theyll

Back to Loki whether he’s another shirahoshi and momo or Jinbe and Yamato depends on if he takes the throne imo. If he takes it he’s definitely just staying. If he’s doesn’t he has no reason to stay besides doing another temporary hold of to protect the island
Zoro pointing out Momo has a lot of pride is def set-up for Momo and Yamato to clash.

There are people who argue Yamato is not going to join because evidence suggests otherwise.
  1. Yamato's situation is not the same as Jinbe's. Jinbe was foreshadowed back in East Blue. Yamato was not mentioned until Wano Part 3. Jinbe had multiple arcs to bond with Luffy. Luffy invited Jinbe to join. Yamato invited herself. Jinbe has a role as Helmsman and was foreshadowed of the role back in Marineford. Yamato has no foreshadowed role outside of Ship Guard which I'm not sure fits her "Oden personality" likely to leave the Sunny to go adventure a new island/place. The one significant thing both share is knowing Ace.
  2. Where was Yamato during the Oden flashback? No where to be seen in chapters 971-973 during the boiling only to say in chapter 994 she was there as an insert.
  3. Why did Oda not have Yamato confront Kanjuro as Oden? This deliberate act of separation shows Oda did not want Yamato to confront her idol Oden and grow into her own unique personality. Also after confronting and defeating "Oden", Yamato would have been able to confront her father Kaido sooner. Instead, Yamato wondered around looking for Kaido stalling the confrontation. A crewmate would get that character development.
  4. To add to number 3, why Yamato did not meet Kanjuro as "Oden" is because Yamato and Oden have no direct relationship. She's a fanatic. It would be one-sided with Kanjuro stating "Who are you?" Yamato stating "I am Oden." Then Kanjuro stating "No you are not for I am Oden." Now if Oda put more depth I'm their relationship, then it would be a meaningful interaction outside of each claiming to be Oden.
  5. In Wano, Luffy has open invitations to Yamato, Tama, Momonosuke, and Kin'emon. When has that happened before and then at least one joined later? Yamato is not special candidate in regards of Wano recruitment.
