No matter how many cool feats and one liners he gives Zoro he still feels the need to have his strength and importance comparable to a cook
Sanji dreams to find water while Zoro dreams to become the greatest swordsman surpassing Mihawk
Zoro unlocked conquerors in wano while Sanji still doesn’t have it but Oda still has the nerve to compare the 2 and call them the wings of the pirate king
Zoro went from fighting emperors with Luffy against to fighting a commander duo with Sanji. Kaido the man that glazed Oden for decades not being able to care less about Zoro scarring him
Oda even made the left hand man role official and put it in our faces that yes he’s a Sanji parallel. At least in Rayleigh’s case he was also the vice captain along with the right hand man and wing. Zoro’s role in the crew just being Swordsman
Oda can’t even have Zoro and his fans gatekeepe conquerors haki because st this point it’s inevitable that Sanji will soon unlock
Its not that Oda hates Zoro,
Its just Oda's way to show that Sanji is strong despite him always getting Hypetool by future Zoro's opp or Main Villain arc, and the way Oda handle this is to make a statements that he is equal to Zoro which Oda always hype Zoro.
Y'all need to realized that the one getting comparable statements is Sanji, not Zoro.
Zoro don't need that. Sanji needs that. Thats the differences. Hence why there is always statements about Sanji equal to Zoro strength in Sanji description cuz Sanji lacks feat and portrayal to be above or even Equals to Zoro.
So its still Zoro > Sanji.
If Toxic Sanji fans or Anti Zoro still want to had arguments of them being Equals, we literally can show them that Luffy and Zoro was shown as equals multiple times anyway.
Plus Shueisha in whole wouldn't try to make Zoro shine cuz he will be the most popular in One piece.

Zoro was nerfed in wano and egghead and elbaf. Until gaban told him he was coc user.

zoro's still the deuteragonist lol he's just not the same as sanji or robin for example
he can't get the type of characterization as them but that doesn't inherently make him a worse character or mean oda will give him less attention, despite those characters having their own arcs he's still got a shit ton of panel time and focus and multiple character moments (i.e nothing happened and him begging mihawk to train him so he can be more useful for the crew)

Oda is master and experienced mangaka and writter , and he know how write very well.
And know what the fans what .
But the problem is that he became cocky to the point that he even declared that gave this power to luffy just cuz the fans will hate it .he dont wants fight to be serious 😒.
