You keep using these specific versions of socialism when I'm talking about socialism in general.
The US workers got the rights they have now thanks to socialist policy for example, and the US is nowhere near s socialist govenrment or society. China's strong socialist policy in the name of communism has lifted 800M people out of poverty in just a few decades, and has experienced much faster growth than America in a few centuries(yes China has a free market but it is regulated by the Government). Counties in Europe uses a social democracy and the people theor got better lives than in the US.
This isn't a 1:1 or "this is good and this is bad" situation.
