This is Gaban’s first time seeing Loki’s df, and he was still so afraid of freeing Loki based on just the Harald feat and Jarul’s story about Nidhogg. Yep like I’ve been saying: literal best case scenario for Saint Shanks is that the entire RHP ganged up on Loki and beat him fairly, Saint Shanks beating Loki 1v1 is impossible, even if Saint Shanks can turn off Woki’s fruit, Loki is still stomping him

Remember Loki offered to destroy any pirate crew in the whole world if Luffy freed him. At the time people dismissed this as one of Loki’s “tricks” but honestly the idea that Loki is a trickster is completely baseless in this manga, Oda has really presented him as a straightforward and honest character, at no point has Loki ever actually deceived anyone

So like I originally predicted, Saint Shanks and the RHP never beat Loki at all, it was a straight up un-truth that we were told just like how every other thing we were told about Loki was wrong also.

The Nika from the flashback was probably a fruit too, just like Nidhogg. Was he a swordsman? Probably not. We know Nika is a reality warper. One time he will use lightning as a weapon, one time a bat carved out of wood and painted, one time an axe, and when it thematically fits (Elbaf), he will use sword an shield. Just like we saw that ancient giant wielding both Ragnir and a sword, Nika would probably also shift weapons as he sees fit.

I still believe his sword and shield are just metaphors for Nika's wings.
