In the big 26, the C3 being stronger than Drag-on is an entirely valid take, no?
@Shiroyru @kekaro @EmperorKinyagi

Sakazuki fans twerk for Drag-on to be his real rival instead of Kuzan, but Kuzan just has better feats and portrayal. Tbh, we could get into Aramaki as well, but maybe Dragon can still have the benefit of the doubt there. No reason to think it wouldn't be an extreme diff though
Akainu is the only one who has a legitimate claim to be above Dragon.

They are 2 types of characters in one piece

1. Characters that grow mainly SH, but they are also exceptions others, like coby, or some oda bumbs per milestone, like crocodile. All either "POV" characters so to speak or are known factors

2. Characters who are yet to be fought. So dragons strength will be determined by a) when he will be fight b) against who c) against what kind of challenge

Dragon can be a fake out for gasing sabo (unlikely) to being a top 5 character EOS depending when he fights, its really a wild card with him, like as opposed to coping with other characters, he is a character we really never seen him fight

He's featless, and his portrayal is officially under Whitebeard/Harald now.
The Imu top 10 thing is just a meme. I agree it’s stupid that Dragon hasn’t done anything of substance yet, but he’s still clearly gonna be very powerful (maybe not PK+ levels of powerful like some fanboys might think, but even that has a nonzero chance of being true tbh given how wild powercreep has gotten).

Dragon is fodder

Dragon saved Luffy at Loguetown, but Imu paid less attention to him than Whitebeard saving Luffy(which seems like an exaggeration if anything, WB wasn't even focused on protecting Luffy in specific that much), and Dragon is literally of the D, which is the big focus of the top 10, and Dragon somehow ended up less relevant than Whitebeard there. Idk why we would assume he's stronger than Whitbeard at this point(who Akainu pretty much killed)

Plus, Blackbeard had no problem trying to fight Drag-on, but ran away from Sakazuki, and thought his crew was insane for messing with Wuzan.

Obviously everyone can have a personal opinion, but idk why we should take for granted that he's going to be stronger than admirals.

Does Imu even know about what happened at Loguetown?

Ngl, if Oda gives Drag-on a Mythical Zoan (despite obviously intending him to be a Logia when he was writing early One Piece), it’s owari da for the Logia agenda.

What's the point in having him be top 5 EOS though? He isn't implied to have one of the God fruits, so he won't fight Imu like Luffy, Loki and Teach have the possibility to do, and he won't probably be connected to the EOS teach plotline. I think the fact that Whitebeard was on Imu's radar and not him gives us a pretty good idea at where he's capped, ngl, at least a little under the mere Yonko.

At most you can say he gets good guy token glaze, but Oda clearly has issues with fathers, so it doesn't even seem like Drag-on will get that. If we go off of hype, he's just infamous, more so than anyone else, but that applies to Rayleigh as well.

I saw a video comparing this to Sabaody and well, I'm a big fan of seeing part 2 as a remix of part 1. From the obscure ideas (PH is LG) to the obvious (Dressrosa is Alabasta) to the direct (FI is AP's sequel).

Of course those are all speaking on 1:1 and that's not how a remix works... take the Sentomaru/Kizaru/Kuma trio being at the chronological equivalent of Thriller Bark and so on. But we're going to get pretty much all of the beats reintroduced.

So now we are in Elbaf with Gaban to hold back the tide in place of Ray. We have that pathetic looking Luffy on the front as Imu descends, and it shouldn't be lost that the shitty condition of the food was pointed out given what he needs to face Imu properly. He's in no way set up for success against Imu, and I don't think he could be as long as he is held back by his lack of knowledge in this situation.

Idk if Gaban will die in driving off Imu, but this will be the kick in the ass they need to get into the final saga trajectory.

EG was pretty much almost bar for bar Sabody so this makes no sense
