Is maki a new power similar to haki, just another term for demonic powers, haki and demonic power combined or something else?

Is the black lightning we see from Imu's attacks haki, maki or something else?

Does anyone have a better understanding or translation of Imu's power?

They keep saying what's with those black flames, even Jinbe. Right now, it's just black flames. We'll see if they're later tied to the Mother Flame (pink) and actually are the Daddy Flame (black)

Just a DF related power, it's not that deep. We know Luffy's reality warping is also nothing more than his DF, yet in Imu it has to be a new power system.

It is the same as Zoro's King of Hell, a unique flavor of haki.
Or just DF power, like Moria's shadows but he can manipulate it more.

Imu also has immense haki, he combine it with his maki which elevate into greater level of power.
Remember Makino had a baby? what if the baby belongs to Shanks, so Imu's power is like haki man and Makino has a baby.

I'm not sure if it'll be the antithesis to Haki.

"Ki" is just energy. Maki can just be "Ma(jin)" Ki. You could probably have used this in DB as well. Haki is a word in and of itself.

Maki could just be related to the black flame energy that Imu is materializing, which Sommers and Killingham now potentially have access to with Omen. I think it’s inherent to Imu’s fruit.

Maki could be the umbrella term explaining all of Imu’s abilities so far.

Like, Domi Reversi could be him injecting “Maki” into his victim.
