With Zaza being it's own major threat that Sanji likely won't fight I'm really hoping Oda doesn't have him hold back when it comes to his weird hax dream abilities

Sanji fighting a summoner with buffed up CQC due to their zoan fruit would be sick

The only problem is Killingham doesn't have as many narrative ties to Sanji character wise but the beef between them is funny enough to salvage the matchup I guess
Honestly I think Zoro's statment しっかりやれよ!"I'm leaving this to you so make sure you take care of it!" has an underlying nuance of Sanji dealing with whatever is there regardless of whether Zaza is percieved to be female or not. Of course Zoro most likely doens't know that Zaza is female and his dynamic with Sanji is like oil and water with both constantly biting at each other lol so might be reading a bit too much into it but that's the feeling I got personally.

Personally I think Sanji is going to be tasked with defeating Zaza hence why this matchup has potential for making Sanji grow but let's say Sanji doesn't take care of Zaza who else is capable of doing so with the exception of the wings and Luffy and Loki?

Zaza is easily base Loki size has insance AoE and is being referred to as a god I very much doubt that the weaker SHs are going to be tasked with defeating her even more so given her narrative standing as a god with narrative ties to Skypiea.

Jinbe for example being a fishman is unlikely to get washed by her given the nature of her abilities but I will be shocked if Oda gives him combat feats that big this arc coz imo defeating Zaza is an even bigger feat then defeating Kiringham as she's been potrayed to be even stronger than he himself.

Also I don't want ot be be bearer of bad news but I will say it again, Kiringham is a summoner type for a reason and the characterisitc abilities of his DF are not physical in nature but based on summoning so the this notion that Kiringham is going to be able to challenge Sanji 1 v 1 or give him a memorable fight combat wise is a bit farfetched imo and will almost certainly lead to dissapointment.

Needless to say the notion that Kiringham conjures up Sanji's fear and that becomes the main obstacle he will have to overcome even when Oda just introduced Zaza into the plot as the major obstacle to saving the children which is Sanji's goal is alo fafetched imo but I digress lol

I still think hoping Sanji fights a female character, even a female presenting monster is not going to happen.

Sanji saving the kids from her would be one thing, but I don’t think he’ll actually hurt Zaza because, he can’t.

I assume Sanji will rescue the kids by merely using blue walk to get them out of Zaza. Killingham will see it, summon another MMA and eventually lose control of Zaza which was alluded as a possibility this chapter.

I get the appeal of Sanji fighting a water god though. I just don’t really see it being possible since it’s feminine.

Personally the appeal of this matchup is not necssarily bcoz Zaza is being referred to as a water god but rather the fact that she is female and the fact that I at least expect significant growth from Sanji this arc. Sanji's fights are usually gimmicky and not straight up 1 v 1s and Zaza in itself is that very gimmick preciesly bcoz she is a female entity. Usualy when Sanji has to stand up for his code, it is usually in a situation where he can be only vicitm of said encounter, was the case with Kalifa and even with Black Maria. Here however, the lives of the children and the existence of Elbaf are on the line so he's going to have to overcome this problem irregardless of his kishido which presents an opportunity for massive growth for him hence why it is an appealing propostion from my perspective.

Oda having Kiringham summon another MMA as an excuse to keep Sanji busy to let Sanji conveniently avoid this problem and also have the Zaza kidnapp the children will be awful writing in my opinion. Moreover the notion that a relatievely strong MMA is going to be Sanji's opponent I don't really get it or see how that could will alllow Sanji grow and that also removes the "gimmic" part of this fight. Also why would Kiringham summon another MMA when he has Zaza if Zaza is not on the backfoot for any reason? and how does Sanji physically save all of those massive giants with sky walk, it doesn't really make sense tbh and again narratively Zaza is Kiringham's strongest MMA, Kiringham is a summoner, Sanji not beating Zaza is equivalent to him not being able to overcome Kiringham.

Using blue walk = kicking the water.
Aka, Sanji has to kick Zaza to use bluewalk.
That would still be breaking his chivalry.

There's no way to save the kids without him either fighting her or having someone else handle it.

IMO I see this at most being a Big Mom and Reiju situation. Where Sanji will interact with the women to save others but won’t put them down. Like I can imagine using Blue Walk to get the kids out of Zaza then realizing the best way to take care of her is to take care of Killingham.

And I think Killingham would summon another because he doesn’t seem to have perfect control of his new Omen amped abilities. Summoning Zaza by accident for example and worrying about his control of her.

Kaku is like half of Lucci's strength.
He'd have been a Franky opponent at best.
Actually prefer the way Oda handled it, higlighting Sanji's intellect instead.
Having him defeat Kaku would've been either here nor there imo and would have been a fluff fight without any purpose that wouldn't have given Sanji anything tangible and also tied Sanji's hands in a situation where help was needed all over the place. We already know that Sanji is stronger than Kaku.

Sanji is NOT fighting a female character.
At any circumstance.

Plz give up on this notion.
This is on the same realm of "shiryu will kill mihawk and become the new WSS".
We have a weather related opponent who is harming children. This has Nami written all over it. She'll save the children but get beaten by ZaZa. Sanji will be in a situation where he has to defeat Killingham to save Nami, who he knows for a fact will die if he doesn't. Since he can't harm ZaZa, the only answer is CoC/PoL. This seems more likely to me than some cross-dressing, black haired, emotionless Sanji with mandibles. We know that Sanji is not unlocking COC without a woman being involved.

Exactly nobody is assuming that Sanji is suddenly going to break his code & start smacking the shite out of Zaza but this is a good problem for him to have & will be interesting to see how Oda has him overcome it whether it be via PoL or CoC hence an opportunity for growth. Not sure the folks against Sanji v Zaza can’t see this golden opportunity 💀
If Sanji is going to unlock CoC for example it’s not bcoz Kiringham is so overwhelming strong but rather due to psychological conflict he has to overcome. If Oda wanted to go the route of him unlocking it against a strong opponent then Saturn or even Kizaru would’ve been opportunities for him to have done so on Egghead.
