Controversial Be smart and quit One Piece OR admit you love it

Most of these haters and agendapiecers in the fandom are just retarded people or manchildren. It is what it is. They probably lost their parents or don't have anyone that loves them in real life.
Fucking morons with an emotional intelligence level of an mosquito, that's mostly the reason why they can't feel and analyse the story, or the author's intentions...and then they act like they knew better lmao. Fucking sheeps, they don't even represent their own opinions lol.
Who fuxked yo girl blood LMAO

You know I don't love One Piece as much anymore. I use to read One Piece weekly as I anxiously wait for the next chapter. I don't do that anymore. I didn't even know Brook had a flashback because I haven't read the last 2 chapters or so.

Do I feel like One Piece is boring now? Yea I do.

Do I feel like ruining it for anyone else? Nope, to each his/her own

I don't even show up to discuss One Piece anymore and neither do I pay attention to details. I remember loving this series a lot so I am curious as to how it ends. That's pretty much it for me.

I will say how I feel about One Piece fans because this is something I noticed when I use to read weekly and take part in discussions. You guys have made a series a god and the writer a god and it's extremely unhealthy. Since you decided to do this when you're disappointed you're left with bitter people who flame Oda and how bad One Piece has become and you have the people who think Oda can do no wrong and continue to obsess over the series. I honestly see One Piece fans as two sides of an extreme. It's either:

You love the series too much and it becomes an obsession (then you make a thread like this)

OR

You hate the series too much and it also becomes an obsession (you make thread explaining how bad Oda's writing has become)

Yes, but only one side is ruining the enjoyment of the others. It's never really "both sides". In reality, it's always one side who decides to have a lot of fun (no matter how unhealthy it is) and the other who decide they are too edgy to let the other side have their fun.

Today, no one is actually praising Oda like a god and without criticism, even people like me who consider Oda to be among the best classic writers for various reasons. This period ended 10 years ago. I know, I was there, I myself made the transition.

But even if it was still going, it doesn't justify in anyway the behavior of the other side, especially toward fans who simply want to share their enjoyment with others and have to deal with insults, comment and the constant negation of the legitimacy of their love for the story.

Now, no one can have fun and I'm forced to make that kinda thread.

If someone's hate of a series bothers you that much. I would argue that you're a bit obsessed. When I loved One Piece all the comments about how bad it was never bothered and I literally ignored flammatory threads. I had a good time and read it every week then moved on. Did I notice flaws in One Piece? Of course I did at the end of the day Oda is a human, there is no way for his work to be perfect but I enjoyed the series because it was good to me. Even after the decline I still enjoy One Piece. However once I noticed I stopped enjoying it as much, I just simply stop showing up weekly to read.

I understand you want to have a healthy discussion with others who share your passion but if I were you I wouldn't let all that hate bother me. You can simply mark the people who enjoys the series and ignore the others. Like I said the obsession will have others bashing Oda 24/7 because they simply have nothing better to do with their lives.

No ichigo was trying to conserve his powers. Hence he wanted to finish dordoni with minimum power possible initially. An all out bankai ichigo will make short work of dordoni.
Not really. He went Bankai and nowhere was it stated me massively held back. Dordoni got some advantage via unfair means and then Bankai Ichigo straight up started losing. Hell, Dordoni wasn't even fully certain that Ichigo can beat him without mask. He thought Ichigo would "probably" win.

Byakuya got defeated by ichigo is SS arc and doesn't have ichigo's growth rate. Max he is bankai ichigo level in HM.
Either Byakuya has that growth rate or Ichigo had mental nerf for most of HM. Pick whatever you like. But fact remains that Bankai Ichigo is trash in HM

Ichigo didn't want to even use bankai against him. And nel was getting targeted again and again. Bankai ichigo barely even fought him.

Yes. But this time was 20 years ago. Now we live in the age of social media. You probably won't believe me, but I know for a fact most people who find One Piece boring today, are really old fans who tanked multiple years of critics without protection, which diminish most of their enjoyment through social pressure.

This is classic. I was there in 2010 when the shift happened. In the span of a few weeks, WEEKS, big groups of people started to trash the story.

The reason : Fishmen island was less conflict heavy than marineford and the strawhat didn't raise to the expectations of the fanbase (Luffy didn't struggle, Hody was missunderstood completely, people didn't like the Sanji jokes etc.). The hate was already present long before pre-timeskip and was already overblowned. F-I, the expectation following the timeskip and the 3 week breaks of Oda in september 2010 simply jumpstarted a massive deconnection within the fanbase.

This period became the trigger for what would be known as "One Piece was better Pre-timeskip". I was literally reading that very line at the time.Meme were rising, Chuck Norris jokes were everywhere, the toxic side of the internet became stronger and this new vision of One Piece was supported by Punk Hazard which was not really the best work of Oda.

So when I tell you this is not a simple question of a bad opinion on OP by people who suddenly felt like it was boring, I mean that with decades of experience on this matter. The hatred for One Piece is a social phenomenon created in reactance to the structure of two specific arcs and a part of the fanbase that was continuing to believe in Oda with all their strenght. It's a phenomenon that has been feeding on itself through social contagion. Oda was in a "weak" spot between F-I and Dressrosa, this allowed the contagion to spread massively.

You may think that it is "nothing" to see hatred for the story you love everyday, but negativity has an impact. Whether we like it or not. it shapes our taste and behavior. But it's not about just me anymore. I want to let the young enjoy the story just as much as I had the peasure to experience it back in the dayz. I want them to have a space to share and make community without having to deal with haters and insults simply for loving the story or a character too much, because it vital nowadays. And it starts here.

I would not fight so hard if I didn't see a real disconnect between people who just arrived in the fanbase through a big watch of the entire story and people who have been reading or watching weekly for years.
It can be if it is indeed ethical ! Not the case here I'm afraid
Because I'm targetting directly people who ruin the fun of others?

Strange vision of ethics.

Sunk cost fallacy though
If you put all that time into something you might as well just see it through
@Logiko this is what i'm trying to tell you
at some point we just decide that it's best to keep reading op until it ends because a lot of us have already been fans of it for years
quitting op takes too much time especially when a lot of us are deeply involved in the community
so you might as well just grit your teeth and ignore the fact that op doesn't have many good moments nowadays and keep reading it as if it were still as good as it was back in the 2000s
