I am watching videos of Argentina vs Cape Verde. What an amazing performance of Cape Verde during this world cup. I'd say that they are reveal of this competition.

I saw some post match videos. Vozi and Argentina players were encouraging verde players who fell on the ground after the loss, to stand up and feel proud of their performance. Basically, they were saying to stand tall and feel proud of what they achieved.

This was the complete opposite of France-Paraguay yesterday (the only wins of this match was that despite their very bad attitude, and a far too lenient referee, Paraguay still lost, and I loved Mbappé 's troll expressions); Argentina-Cape Verde was a true football match with bravery, valor, talent, and respect.

If I have to sum up in a line - Argentina didn't win that match. They survived Verde.

I think big teams need one such match in major tournaments.

It's a balling experience where players are push out of their comfort zone, and feels immense pressure as massive upset scare looms.

Such matches often end up as wake up call and covers gaps in their ranks.

Yea Scaloni’s entire philosophy revolves around Messi. He is good man manager but tacticslly he is still limited.

Norway losing to Brazil would be hilarious in certain way.

Norway had the opportunity to beat France in group stage and had path which France has.

But they rested 10 players and lost that match which means they deliberately picked the current path knowing very well that it might go through Brazil in R16 and Mexico/England in R8.

Either the management felt more confident in beating these teams than Germany and Spain or they simply lost the plot here.
