These are the reasons I gave for why CE is very bad

And chakra is too abstract and based on genetics

I don't care about nen, hold it as top 1 if you want to, haki would be top 2 anyway

All the pre time skip, which is nearly half of this manga, makes no sense (talking about power system and power level) after Oda introduced the black Haki system in post time skip. 500 chapters or so.
CoO is often forgotten, adCoA with its internal damage was used in Wano and that's it, now the adCoC is the real deal and it's basically an ad-adCoA.
It's just a mess and a huge, repeated retcon if you re-read all One Piece from the start.
I'm not saying it's the worse power system out there, somehow Oda managed to make it working and being entertaining, but again, it's far from being the best.
Just my opinion.

Haki as an inherent concept of PL isn't bad tbh. 3 different types of haki based on willpower giving three different sets of boost in strength. Wonderful idea ngl


Initially people were hyped about haki. We were able to distinguish clearly all 3 types of haki by virtue of the differences in the outcome when one used these hakis.


But advance haki made it complicated. Inconsistencies messed it up.


DB had a very basic concept. Until Captain Ginyu, scouter were being used to gauge strength levels. Gradually we moved from them to transformations (either design change or change in hair color or having aura around) to show significant difference in PLs. Even though we have seen many instances of asspulls and shit which didn't make sense, yet we never had an issue like in one piece - interpretation of whats going on.

Oda could have avoided most of the haki issues simply by having something which readers could easily recognise on panel to know when advance haki is being used and which type of advance haki is being used. But nah....


Oda fumbled haki system. Either due to his habit of coming out of something to stay unpredictable or to create asspulls whenever he desires to raise stakes up.

I also came to this conclusion after thinking about how simplistic chi is, and how CE has stuff just happen and makes things up on the spot



With CE nothing is explained, nothing makes sense, and new massive power-ups are made-up breaking the previous rules and appear on the spot

Kashimo didn't use his suicide technique until he fought an opponent he knew was the strongest. And it's not like he had a boring fighting style or anything, his trait had a lot of cool uses against Hakari

Robin spent 2 yrs training with haki users everywhere and learned fishman karate but not haki cuz she didnt focus on it? Not buying that lmfao. Not everybody can use haki no matter how hard they try and thats just fact

Youre also wrong about chakra and ce:

1. Chakra can canonically be learned by anyone. It is ninshu a power that was originally meant to CONNECT ppl. Hagoromo went around spreading the teachings of ninshu which ppl then turned into ninjutsu

2. New shadow style school is based after an IRL Swordsmanship in Japan. In JJK the school is turned to jujutsu. Therefore it can be taught to others including weaklings and civilians. Simple domain is originally a domain for the WEAK. Miwa came from bumass normal family and was recruited for whatever reason. There are some civilians who can see curses too

So "universally accessible" statement is still fraudulent cuz any decent shonen already has it. Haki is also based on genetics like CoC
