  • Our experiences of stories are therefore far more flexible than we think. They evolve with our conditions. So who can say that a story is just one story?
When you watch One Piece after experiencing the manga and the anime, your knowledge bleeds on your watching experience
I think there is some case to be made that One Piece the manga, One Piece the anime, and One Piece the Live action, can become the same story
Just got an idea if some staff coder in this forum hears me: Integrating a possibility for people to set a music to play instantly in entering their threads. Could be some parameter that people either turn off or on. I often want people to experience my threads in music and seems like I'm not the only one. Just food for thought

And narrow the need for approval only for people adding audio to their threads.

I don't know, I'm sure there are ways to adjust it, it's just that I like the idea of a person stepping up in a new world when they open a thread.

Terrible idea. The cost of this shit alone isn't worth it, and that's beside having to manually approve the content and deal with potential copyright issues. WG's staff is stretched too thin for that. This sort of cosmetic implementation takes a lot of capital and effort, and for what? To have some dude play fart noises on his "Mihawk is a fraud" thread?
In my opinion the people who seem to hate on One Piece a lot, also seem to have pretty toxic attitudes, I think when you have a toxic attitude, your life gets worse and worse and it sucks the pleasure and fun out of life
I hope One Piece is the only story you feel that way but I know this will happen again.. and again.. I'm sorry
Forcing upon yourself an experience you do not enjoy, week after week.. within the pressure of the sunk cost fallacy...
This humbling was PART of the journey. A way to grow. The SAME is happening for Luffy now, but not simply in term of situation, in term of thematic TOO. Both Carrot and Luffy were humbled based on their cockyness, the fact that they didn't took the situation seriousely, over estimating themselves, laughed at the danger. Now the question is why did Oda never followed up on Carrot... ?

My guess is that Oda had plan to create that follow up in Wano, but decided otherwise and rather than doing it here, he would do it LATER. This is the main reason why I still believe Carrot's character arc to be incomplete. The second part of Elbaph, the aftermath of Imu's attack, would be the perfect time for Zou to reappear.

    Nice fanfic..
Oh... I by the way. Nakama thread people, Do you remember what I was saying about chapter 1006 and the humbling of Carrot ??
We paralleled Rayleigh with Zoro and Gaban with Sanji.. But the interestingly Gaban is closer to Zoro and Sanji, Rayleigh

    It's not that deep, chief

It's just a fun interesting thing. Zoro is highly self aware of himself and other and tends to overstressed in situation when the people he admire (like LUffy or Sanji) are slipping up, this is the feeling I get from Gaban here, I get the same "wake the fuck up feeling", something that is highly related to self worth too (like Sanji ofc).

Now for Sanji, I feel the same gentleness that is present with Rayleigh. Calmer, gentler, more relax and less centered on his own potential rather than the one of others. Which reminds me of Sanji.

The two figure have a lot of similarities with both strawhats
