It is non-sense to classify canon or non-canon to anime...these things are useless outside of battledome debates....I always prefer well animated live motion pictures over static manga...

Rewatching Skypiea....it is heavily underrated arc...and Luffy vs Enel is very entertaining fight especially when Luffy tries to counterattack his "mantra"...Sanji Mr. Prince moments and Zoro unleashing 108p canon.....and more importantly Luffy telling Nami "don't sound pathetic, you are nakama of future pirate king" straight to her face...and Wiper is such an interesting character...hope, we will see them again
