I dont know how to put it in a better way, but sexism is sometimes better than extreme feminism. Look at how they ruined the latest star wars sequels trying to promote their feminist agenda.

Manga has all kinds of different characters and genres. Its exempt to an extent. In the West though, its just easy money and being shielded from criticism. If you dont like it, it makes you a bigot, sexist, racist etc..I'd be pissed off if they made Batman black or Cyborg white for "diversity."

Character design should come from heart. A writer shouldnt focus on gender balance while planning a character. If Oda cant write "strong female" characters well, he shouldnt create them just to please the critics.

they should be free to say and do anything in their art no matter if we get offended by it or not

in Oda case ... we all can agree he didn't do female justice ... but since he is doing his job the best he can ... we shouldn't be harsh against him in anyway
