Tbh, people who build something for so long are always reluctant to delegate their work to someone else...not out of ego but it's just emotional and psychological connection you have with it which makes you feel only you should build it
It's their story and art is integral part of it - and, it's just not about drawing manga - while drawing art you can ponder upon the story with more focus or come up with new ideas
