Gunko is definetely special, close to Imu than the Gorosei are, I don't know how all that goes as far her personal combat power- but she is very important
Despite how in unbelievable cool Marco is, he was never meant to be super relevant or strong, he does his job of being a Yonko commander well enough. He wasn't on a trajectory of becoming a Yonko level character or anything.
This is visible when Oda uses Marco mostly as a plot device, he exist...
Roger achievements were the greatest in the world, a man matching him, with a "world-threatening" Fruit, it's not far-fetched to call him the strongest.
Oda don't make villains like Aizen and Madara, not talking about writing quality
He likes his villains fallible, Doflamingo for example, is scared of Kaido, Kaido himself was defeated many times, Kaido drunk crying
Aizen and Madara just keep their "cool face" and non stop winning, even when...
If we exclude Mihawk
It's Sengoku, he has no feats worth anything or reliable scaling
He only has hype and statements from Roger and WB, pairing him with Garp, he was not on GV, and has not solo old legend fight in his belt, 2v1 Shiki
He is carried true and through by words of top tiers
We just didn't get much about Roger conflicts to PK.
his fights with Shiki, he sneaking BM territory, the mountain eater thing.
we know Roger is great, but we never get to see him doing something like Xebec
I think it's on purpose, one of things Oda dislike is being predictable, he is going back and forth on their hype to keep us guessing.
I will say IMU, 800 years of waiting for the drums of liberation is a lot of narrative wheight, the slaves weren't waiting for blackbeard to save them
Yeah like, When did Imu ever said that he needed to be hidden? even when Sabo made out alive, Imu gave 0 shits about Sabo, and was targeting Lulusia on coincidence, it's the Gorosei that care about that.
giving not shit about Xebec leave reinforce that
