Zoro probably, since no one else present could have beaten Pica or King. Ussop could have easily been mvp because of Dressrosa, but he loses so many points for Wano. Runner up is Brook just for Wholecake island.
I never said "deep connections" is the only reason for Bonney to join, that's just the only point in her favor that you objected to. Vivi has way deeper connections to the crew than Bonney, obviously.
As for the rest, I won't complain if you don't want to respond, I was just responding to you...
The nakama thread was a warzone, and the Yamato crew was toxic. If you lived in there, it probably seemed like everyone agreed, but really there were just as many people who said she wouldn't join. And plenty of the Yamato crew used the exact argument you're using now. "I called Franky joining...
Victim play? How exactly am I playing the victim? It's things like this that make me not take your arguments seriously. It seems like you're just making stuff up.
You said the Nika stuff doesn't make Bonney a candidate because other characters believe in Nika too. In other words, you are...
I never said any character that believes in Nika is a candidate. You're just being intellectually dishonest if you're really telling me you can't see a difference between Bonney's connection to Nika (and specifically Luffy) and someone like Who's Who. And for the record, I did push for Vegapunk...
I'm at least of the mindset that Bonney is the last shot at a new nakama. If no one joins in egghead, I won't consider anyone else joining in the future.
I actually agree that this doesn't count as a strawhat dream. It's traveling the world with KUMA not just traveling the world. I guess it works if they both join. I think it makes more sense if she inherits Kuma's will to liberate the world, but that hasn't happened as of yet. I still think she...
One of her two life goals was literally to meet Luffy, she just didn't know it was him yet. That absolutely does make her a candidate, especially since she has nowhere else to go, assuming Kuma doesn't come back to life.
I referenced Yamato because people were also calling her the arc princess in Wano. I get what you mean about female characters being important just to be used as an emotional connection to the plot, but you have to admit that Bonney's deep connection with Luffy throughout the flashback...
Fair enough. Just seems to me like every female character is called the princess of the arc whether they fit or not, and even if they did, the same argument could have been used against half the crew, especially Robin and Nami. I'm still not sold on Bonney. I agree she needs a role and a dream...
Ya'll call anyone the "arc princess" if people think they'll join just to gatekeep. Yamato wasn't an arc princess and neither is Bonney. She may well not join the crew, but the arc princess is there to be Luffy's connection to the current conflict, not just the villain themselves. That's why...
I think it's hilarious that Kizaru for nakama is unironically more likely than half the candidates we talk about here. It's not happening, but at least it's less crazy than Lucci, Caribou, Carrot, Pedro, or the theoretical giant Carrot4nakama made up.:milaugh:
I think I was the only one who said it meant nothing and I still believe that. Yamato was the only one who was actually teased to join the crew. Carrot and Tama were no different than any other failed nakama train like Monet or Rebecca.
