I almost want to see “everyone becomes Nika” happen so those that were criticizing Naruto for the same thing show just how hypocritical they are when it comes to One Piece.

It’s because Oda wanted to show just how tough a time Luffy had with Kizaru. That’s why he had him begging for food and eating an entire feast. Luffy just hasn’t been pushed that hard since then, now that he’s just running with the giants as backup.

Go look at Sabo. He still had bandaids over a week after the Reverie. Oda is just like that.

Oda just doesn’t care. Sabo still had bandaids 2 weeks after the Reverie too. It’s just his way of reminding readers about a past fight.
