It’s wild because that is probably the moment that had me most surprised and expectant…but it all went downhill from there and ended up being one of the most painfully stupid things I’ve ever read.

It’s just a consequence of Oda’s silly decision to make ACoC just armament 2.0. Now he has to make characters forget that they can use it, on top of unclear visual cues on when it’s actually being used or not. What a mess.
