Only his silhouette appeared so far... we still have to actually see his looks, his abilities are an even bigger mystery. His best appearance was when Kaido was comparing the monsters he met in the past with Luffy (chapter #1001), but even then we can't even see his eyes and full body.
He's...
I can't agree with you... so far, Luffy was shown to perfectly mirror Roger (the EXACT same dream, the same recklessness, mirrored scenes in the manga, etc.). A lot of parallels can be made between any pair of crews, but Luffy and Roger are too matched to ignore.
The Roger Pirates weren't an...
Imponence:
1. Ju Peter (the biggest of all; also can come from the ground, seems to be the most unpredictable);
2. Mars (the flying ability + the size makes it very menacing);
3. Warcury (seems to be the more beastly and is also quite big);
4. Nusjuro;
5. Saturn (seems to be the smallest)...
But "Laugh Tale" was known since chapter 105 (Reverse Mountain Arc, although the spelling wasn't confirmed until Stampede, that's why it was known as "Raftel"*), so Joyboy must've been at least a concept then (otherwise, why would the last island be a "funny" tale?). Everyone was expecting much...
Well, if we take it to the letter, willpower is actually much easier to "run out" than energy/chakra/ki/whatever. I mean, if haki was a thing in real life, most of the internet's keyboard warriors would turn into Spandam (hakiless) with just a slap.
However, I think that haki became more like...
Do they have interest in learning haki though? All the strawhats are clearly aware of it, but they need to show desire to learn it. Luffy isn't like Blackbeard that wants all his crewmates to be strong, Luffy's nakama are truly his friends (he just has the luck to have nakama that want to move...
For the same reason he didn't stick with her (or Kaido) as a pirate after the God Valley Incident: he despised his former crewmates and their ideals/(i)morality (Xebec was likely the "glue" that held all those crazies together). Whitebeard's concept of "family" isn't related to blood or anything...
Tbh, almost every Shichibukai was like that or worse. DoFlamingo was an underworld broker and the main weapons supplier to a Yonko. Crocodile plotted against a WG affliliated country and wanted to take control of Pluton, which would be a severe threat to the WG. Jinbe was allied to Whitebeard...
Yeah, pre-skip was prime piece for me. All my favorite long arcs were pre-skip ones. The only arcs that I really like from post-skip are the short arcs (Return to Sabaody, Zou, Levely), although Egghead is delivering so far IMO (need to see the ending to rank it right) and Dressrosa had its...
It seems that the times in and before the Void Century were different from today. We know, for example, that Wano was an open country in the past, but for some reason (recently said to be Pluton's protection) it became isolationist. Elbaf could be the same and giants probably hanged around with...
How come Joyboy is so traditional in Elbaf, a country seemingly disconnected from the rest of the world? Dorry and Brogy recognized Luffy a "god" immediately, so their lore about Joyboy is even richer than other related places (Skypiea, Wano, etc.). Even the Gorosei look dismayed by the sight of...
Well, he could be the "swordsman king", just like there is a "pirate king" title nowadays without an actual pirate kingdom. Wano isn't mentioned anywhere in "Monsters" either.
Yeah, we haven't sufficient canon info to affirm for sure, but the evidences point that Ryuma was famous worldwide...
First off, Ryuma lived centuries before the current times, so much of (or even all of) his story acquired legendary status already. Hogback didn't say where he heard of his story (there is a chance he could've heard it in Wano, but Moriah robbed Ryuma's grave long before he met Hogback*), but he...
I think they are graded according to the wielder's feats and maybe the swordsmith's reputation too. Seeing Mihawk explaining haki, I feel that all blades are breakable, no matter how good is the swordsmith... however, strong haki may increase the blade's durability even after the wielder's death...
I think it's very likely. Dr. Hogback, for example, was able to identify him even as a rotten body.
About getting banned, his case could be similar to Oden's. Actually, his feats are apparently on par with Luffy's at Wano (see below*), so he had a lot of impact in his country.
* Chapter 1052.
We actually don't know much about Ryuma's story. We know the fragment of him slaying a dragon ("Monsters" one-shot) and that he was known as the strongest swordsman of his time. As such, he probably left Wano and brought Shusui to fame... the "Monsters" story location, for example, doesn't look...
Well, tankman is a G4 form officially. We actually never saw the "normal" tankman, just the "Manpuku Version", so at first it really seems almost useless for offense (although he did finish Cracker with it), but I wouldn't throw it away like that. As for Snakeman, he did beat Katakuri with this...
Exactly. G4 has three forms: boundman (balanced offense/defense), tankman (full defense) and snakeman (speed). None is said to be better than the others, they just have advantages and disadvantages between them.
IMO, Mihawk's character is simpler than you think. I feel that he was a "lone wolf" since day one, always striving to be strong. At some point in his childhood he became obsessed by his wish to become the strongest swordsman and, sooner of later, set sail for his goal (as shown in SBS Vol. 63...
They already exist. The Whitebeard Pirates and the Red Hair Pirates, for example, are "peace mains", while the Beasts Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates, for example, are "morganeers".
