Robin, Zoro, and Sanji all should be over 900 million berries.
Robin is too important to the story to be so low. Zoro should probably be at King's level and Sanji right under.
Man you guys know everything. I thought I had missed something from the last chapter but you people pulled up a map and figured out which way Luffy was headed. Holy shit thats dedication.
I would never forgive Oda if Luffy and Shanks never met. That would be the biggest bait and switch in anime history. It's one of the biggest reunions in One Piece.
They can meet as friends or they can meet as enemies. I don't care. As long as the story is good and they meet eventually then I'm...
-Too many panels for the Scabbards
-Too many side characters
-Oden wanking was too aggressive
-Barely any backstory for Kaido or Kidd
-Straw Hats barely interacted
-Too much O-Tama
-SMILE designs were all garbage
-King vs Zoro was too short
-Luffy plot armor was too much
-Not enough Nico Robin...
I'm not a fan of the decision because it was probably all comedy gag luck that got him to the point of being a Yonko, but just wanted to see what ideas you guys had on how he could have risen to such a level.
There was more hype in this chapter than in the entire Wano arc.
Nico Robin re-gaining prominence. Pluton. Greenbull being a badass. A Navy warship incoming. Luffy becoming a Yonko. 3 billion berrie bounties for Law and Kidd. This was a 10/10 chapter. Things feel tense right now.
I haven't...
1.) No badass samurai in a land that is known for badass samurai.
2.) Zoro got no character development. He didn't interact with sword-forgers, learn about why he is so strong, or develop new techniques. This arc should have been as much about Zoro as WCI was about Sanji. Everyone was so hyped...
The over-arching problem here is that Oda wasted too much panel time. Wano has gone on so long at this point that he has to half-ass everything. The whole arc was just terrible and lazy. The writing on WCI was better.
Underwhelming ending...if this is the end. Kaido's flashback was weak and too short. Oda wasted too much panel time and now the arc has gone so long that Kaido can't get a proper 2-3 chapter flashback. What a shame. Cool clash panels though. Chapter was a 3/5 for me.
Is Kaido 100% done? Or does he get back up one more time for an Awakening or final attack?
1049 definitely feels like the end but I'm not certain on that. I think we all forget that the plan was to kill Kaido. Even if he's defeated, he's definitely not dead right now.
I think there's one more...
Kaido due to his Yonko level strength. Orochi wouldn't have gotten as far as he had without Kaido backing him.
Kaido is the reason Oden died and the reason why Wano is the way it is.
I'm giving it a 6.5/10 regardless of how Luffy vs Kaido ends. Didn't live up to the hype but wasn't 100% terrible either. There were no badass samurai and too many plot conveniences. Luffy's power-scaling and recoveries were too aggressive.
A lot of wasted panel time on the Oden/Scabbard shit...
