I always had Luffy vs Akainu as a lock but now with Imu himself showing up as an arc opponent this early, that prospect has gotten more muddied unless Oda is willing to make Akainu look completely outclassed in a fight. Zoro vs Fujitora is a low chance. Sanji vs Kizaru is like 50/50.

At best the gap is like between Kaku and Jabra, if there even is one.

It matters in that Loki is so big he has trouble tracking the majority of the people he fights in his full zoan form.

Dragon/Akainu might be thematic parallels rather than having a personal history. Dragon the ex-marine whose brand of justice is opposing authoritarianism, and Akainu the marine that embodies it. That’s enough setup for a potential fight.
