I figured you would understand that Judge not kicking means that I'm referring to almost every other fight. The biggest example to come up here has been Vergo, the stakes were as low as they could possibly get.
He not only protects himself, but makes it his personal responsibility to protect Luffy.
He apologized as a rookie for losing to a guy who's worth more than a Yonko, lol. He criticizes himself but his idea of careless isn't getting worked over by nobodies because he almost saw their cameltoe while they were kicking him

Sanji was always nerfed in Thriller bark, first his weak zombie, second he took Absalloms attacks for Nami, third he got stabbed near his heart probably lungs but he still fought oars when Zoro got stabbed by Kamazou he fainted. Fourth Sanji took more damage then Oars also he didn't need Ryumas black blade to deflect Oars strongest attack. Fifth he was already done before Kuma came because of those reasons and he still hit a pasifista even though he didn't know haki at that time, this is a metal even Whitebeard has a hard time with his CoC and DF.
A lot of people bring up similarities between their respective opponents and how they reflect the protagonists. I'm saying how this is flawed. Like despite the fact that a fight broke out between bon and Daz, the former had no hope at all in competing. So at the least, relegating Zoro and Sanji to a certain dynamic by citing their opponents will fail

Sanji had a chance to beat a 2nd strongest in Gin and literally got his ass beat. Sanji will never be Zoto. Losing to Gin and almost losing to Vergo. He not built to beat people like King, Mr. 1, Ohm ( couldn't even beat weaker priest) and people like that. Zoro have beaten Morgans and Hody( 1 shot) while Sanji has never beaten arc villian.
