The Shimotsuki clan existed before Ryuma. It could very well be that Ryuma never had children and the current Shimotsukis are from a different branch. If Ryuma was anything like Zoro, I can't see him having children.

I have always been iffy about Zoro's ties to Wano. Zoro fandom has always been divided on this issue with one side opting for Ryuuma's lineage and another wanting Zoro to be from a no-name fodder family. Now, Oda came up with a solution that pissed off both side.

Oda unnecessarily tied Zoro to Wano when Kuina tie should've been enough. Then he discarded Ryuuma stuff and other ties during the climax of Wano arc (the ultimate dick tease). Finally, today he concluded the shitty arc in a fucking SBS with answers he probably made up while on a toilet. This...

That statement of Oda's from prehistoric era has no relevance anymore. Story changed, plot changed, retcons happened. We need to stop spamming that shit. At least for Zoro, it is completely useless.

Its the amount of effort he put into it that fucks it up big time. Why try to fix something that aint broke?
