Disagree with the writing taking a hit, and honestly TG is probably the series where I paid attention to power levels the least so I guess it wasn't really that important to me.
Even though I generally prefer manga as a medium, maybe with CSM I'll give the anime a shot, because Fujimoto's art style is genuinely too repulsive for me to actually read the manga, I can't do it.
Hard to say. He said he was only going to adapt the plot points he remembered in detail, so everything else is going to be pretty barebones so I wouldn't be surprised if we reach the ending quicker than people expect.
Interesting take, I think I agree overall but I also vastly prefer :re to OG Tokyo Ghoul. TG has the best cast of the 3 but Griffith is the best character in any of those manga IMO and Guts/Griffith is the best dynamic in fiction to me.
Outside of people being uncomfortable with the depictions of nudity and sexual violence (which is valid), I'll never understand the take of Berserk decreasing in quality after Golden Age.
The only form of Kisame that can compete against Orochimaru is him fused with Samehada, and even then it's unclear.
"Bijuu" doesn't mean much
Orochimaru without his jutsu manhandled a 4 tails Naruto that almost killed Jiraiya. That same Jiraiya is stronger than the likes of Kakashi who is able...
Obviously you can't satisfy everyone because everyone has different preferences. Personally, I don't really care that much for side characters that aren't relevant to the plot unless they have thematic or symbolic importance to the narrative. I think AOT is a good example of utilizing characters...
