A lot of things actually. The film handled the multiverse aspect in a really unique way and was a amalgamation of various genres of films such as kung fu classics, Wong Kar-Wai films (in the mood for love). It has a beautiful and heartfelt message to it by then end. Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis were amazing.
I'll check it out tonight then, thanks

Looking forward to it!
Well, it's a film that hit kinda close to home for sure...
:josad:

I had a great time with this film. As a big fan of Jackie Chan I definitely had a lot of enjoyment with some of the fight scenes. Very visually impressive movie and definitely well done all around. One of the most memorable films I've seen. The highlight was easily Part 2 of the film. No spoilers but it's a very touching segment with themes that I needed to hear at the time. I am very glad that I caught it in theaters as it made it all the more of a mindfuck to sit through.

It's going on my top 50 list, replacing number 39: Jumanji and Zathura
These films were on there because of the nostalgia factor and how creative these films are. But it's been an actual decade since I actually sat down and watched it. This film is one I would definitely see again and I highly recommend it to others.

I don't keep track of things like that, but off the top of my head these are some of my favorite :

-Old Boy
-La Haine
-Parasite
-Battle Royale
-Crows Zero
-American Psycho
-John Wick 1
Out of all of these I think the only ones I'm not familiar with is La Haine and Crows Zero. What makes these stick out in your mind? They seem to be foreign films which I dig as well.

Well La Haine isn't foreign to me cause i'm french lol...without giving too much away it's a very well told story with a great unexpected ending.

Crows Zero is one of the best fighting movies out there imo, big fan of how it doesn't incorporate bullshit fantasy martial arts moves lol, dope stuff.

@Kagurashii I just finished watching The Shawshank Redemption. Kickass film and an instant spot on my list. Replacing number 31: The Polar Express (Was pretty much on there because of nostalgia and the train drifting scene).

I said before that I was a big fan of prison films and this definitely fit the bill. Loved how smart the protagonist was, loved the supporting cast, loved the progression of the film, and definitely loved the ending as well. Thank you for the recommendation.

Yay I’m glad you liked it. 🤗 I was also a fan right from the point when I finished it. (Also probably the only movie where I saw Morgan Freeman as an young man). XD

Also nyuuu don’t drop Polar express lmao
That’s like a Christmas favorite and has a huge nostalgic value. I’m gonna include movies like home alone and polar express in my list shamelessly lol
