Current Events Act 3 can't end in defeat anymore

#1
It simply can't with the new plot of Onigashima heading towards the Flower Capital , there's 0 chance this Act will end in failure as Morj and many ppl speculated it will be

I think ppl thought the SH and overall the Alliance will suffer a crushing defeat (smth like 871) and will have to comeback in 2 weeks (for Hawkins' prophecy) and take the fight to Wano's capital cause that's where most arcs end their climax in the middle of the capital in front of all the citizen to see the event and now its happening and on top of that there's the ticking time bomb that Oda likes to put with Onigashima crushing the Flower capital so even more incentive to win now

I would personally say the Tragedy of Act 3 is the Scabbards all of them being dead once Big Mom reaches the top and the discussion between BM/Kaido or the event between either betrayal or flashback will spark the end of this Act

The next Act will probably start with a long Rocks flashback to only end with Luffy/Kid/Killer/Jinbei making it to the roof to face off with Kaido (Zoro/Marco/Sanji/Law/Yamato joins them later)

with Yamato having the obvious role of countering whatever Kaido is doing by lifting the Island herself with her dragon flames and bring it back to the sea after his defeat

Hawkins prophecy will happen

You guys think Alliance are winning

BMP are yet to entee the battlefield
Kaido and BM haven't even gone 60% serious
Yonko alliance won't be broken now...they need to accomplish something first

Theres no way they beat both Yonko unless Navy/Teach comes and BM betrays Kaido

I mean it can still end in a defeat...

Even at first I also thought that were in the final endgame due to the Onigashma going to Wano.

But when you think about it....its not like Onigashma is gonna go back to the sea. Once the allaince is defeated....Onigashma will stay in the Flower Capital.

It actually makes sense for Oda to bring Onigashma to the Flower Capital now...so when the second war starts, the fights can happen straight away and Kaido wouldnt be distracted and have to carry an entire Island.

Bro Onigashima is GONNA CRUSH the Flower Capital , that ain't happening ... this is similar to the birdcage and the Alliance are on a ticking bomb they need to stop Kaido before he drops a whole island on an entire city

People assumed Enies Lobby, Dressrosa & WCI end in defeat but in those moments it ended in victory. Luffy accomplished what he needed to do in Marineford, Ace & Whitebeard chose to die.

I never understood why many thought Wano would end in failure, I doubt both Emperors will be defeated but we know you can defeat Big Mom without really fighting her. Kaido is getting killed at the end of all this, that's why him dying had been foreshadowed since 795. Big Mom & her crew has always been a side show every since Fishmen Island. They've been practically ignored this entire Arc.

Now we have the scabbards out of the way and the enemy's seeming to start falling one by one, we're getting close to the finale, Luffy vs Kaido. The stakes have been set, we have our time bomb, Onigashima falling on the capital and Luffy has been practically uninjured.

Yamato (if she really is a Dragon) can summon her own clouds and stop Onigashima from falling. Marco & Chopper are about to turn the tides of the battle, Zoro is kicking ass, Sanji will have his turn too.

It's looking like all the strawhats will have their moment, Tama is also a hidden trump card for getting numbers on their side.

Tragedy doesn't necessarily mean total defeat.

The raid ending in failure was certainly a good educated guess to end the act on, but it was never the guaranteed setup. As it stands, a character death is good enough to raise the stakes and motivate the characters moving forward. Just look at what seeing Kiku's severed arm did to Zoro. Now imagine when Luffy reaches the top and sees all the Scabbards laid waste on the ground with one of them possibly dead.

Failure now is not an option. If the Alliance loses here, they all die.
