Come on man. I know Akainu was blowing Whitebeard to smithereens, but don’t downplay Whitebeard like that. The old man had plenty of fight in him and endured his body getting blown to hell like a boss, for as long as he could. Neither Big Mom or Kaido could’ve withstood just one of the attacks that Whitebeard took from Akainu.

Akainu was fresh. Whitebeard was very sick, had a heart attack, got stabbed plenty of times, cannonball to the face, got stabbed by Squardo as well, plus took Akainu's magma putting a hole in his stomach, I don't want to hear it...

Sure, Newgate took a lot more external damage, but what I said is still true. Besides, considering Sakazuki can last for days, Newgate would have hard a lot more openings due to his poor health and age. The next opening may have cost him his heart, the right side of his face, a lung, his liver, a kidney or other vital organs. How many more openings were needed before he went down for good?

Yeah, no joke. That was exactly why he got curb stomped in every head on engagement with a Top Tier. His entire character arc during Marineford revolved around how weak he had become.
That still does not change the fact that Marineford Whitebeard was the weakest Top Tier present, if he even was still a top tier (his massively overpowered fruit is a good power level crutch).
That is still better portrayal than getting trolled by the weakest Straw Hats and Queen though.

When you’re an admiral it does. These people touch you and your body parts get removed. Not like Whitebeard who can be tanked with no medium term injuries like Akainu did, one hit from an admiral will mess you up for life.
