Not sure I would agree at all, the Admirals’s status as villains has been diminished for sure, but this is because the Admirals aren’t going to be end game villains for the Straw Hats. The Admirals are more akin to Darth Vader or Zuko, you think they are villains for a long time but as the series progresses they become less villainous and ultimately end up as heroes. The Admirals are subverted villains turned heroes, they aren’t villains.
And this is fine with me, Luffy would never be able to survive the EOS with the Admirals as his enemies.

Side note, what families has Kizaru ruined exactly? Lol
I’m pretty sure prior to Egghead we’ve never even heard of Kizaru doing anything other than fighting pirates who are criminals and a danger to innocent civilians 99% of the time
Simply coming to defend CDs whenever they're harmed helps those CDs kidnap and break up families
I.e when Charlos tried to kidnap a dude's fiance in Sabaody and Zoro nearly killed him.
Having hostages or not is irrelvant. Outside of MJ, Fujitora was toying with Sabo while sandbagging. In MJ, Fuji couldn't stop Karasu or drop his signature meteor. Outside of MJ, GB can easily restrain 5 Scabbards, Momo, and Yamato. In MJ, GB can't stop or restrain Morley, even complained that he couldn't fight back. It was wven stated twice on panel that fighting in MJ is a huge nerf for an admiral.
I think its completely normal for people to give a shit about people they care about, and care less about strangers? Even Mingo hesitated when Jora was taken hostage, and he can easily kill off entire towns.
Sure, but there's no way the Admiral would rather DIE than stop Rocks. That puts the CDs in far more danger than it would if he just locked in and defeated/killed Rocks there.
Also it's not that he likes certain people despite being a villain, it's the fact that Oda actually tried to make him sympathetic which destroyed him completely as a character. There's no way we can ever feel sympathy for Kizaru given the myriad of horrible things he's done with no remorse whatsoever. He doesn't even learn that what he's been doing is wrong after it's all said and done.
That's shitty writing.
Not in the way you're probably implying. He noticed Fuji was about to drop a meteor and angrily told him not to do it. No meteors were dropped that day.
Yeah they aren’t villains. Oda even hinted that Green Bull, the most evil Admiral, might not even be a villain in the end lol. Oda has suggested he and Fujitora will both rebel from the WG.

We have never once seen Kizaru protect a Celestial Dragon, let that sink in. Lol
Also Kizaru straight up committed treason by giving Luffy food, he has done more harm to the Celestial Dragons than he has helped them lmfao.
"Kizaru, go to Sabaody, someone is attacking a Celestial Dragon"
"Okay."
Lee: That's not protecting them tho and it's not like he signed up for a position where one of your primary goals is to protect CDs or anything!

That's shitty writing.
The writing around Kizaru isn't shitty at all, and I have no idea what you're talking about with the other stuff about Kizaru.
"Pirates deserve no mercy, but this is family! What am I supposed to do!?"- Monkey D. Garp.
Garp in MF went through the same thing Kizaru did in Eggead; Duty vs Family. Garp in MF hesitated to the point he choose neither when it mattered. Kizaru ultimately choose duty when he ran out of options.

If the cops show up after someone has already shot you in the head, did the cops protect you? Lol
Maybe go to the dictionary and look up the definition of words before you type lmfao. Showing up to arrest someone after they’ve already assaulted a Celestial Dragon is not protection. Lmfao

Bro we're told that the Admirals are meant to protect CDs. It comes with the job. That's why Garp refused the role in the first place lmfao
How do you not know something that basic about your favorite characters??

Sure, but the problem is we're still meant to feel sympathy for Kizaru, which is dumb to me. He never did anything to deserve our pity.
Hell I'd argue Garp doesn't exactly deserve pity. He may not serve the CDs like the Admirals but he's still not a good person.
Side note, what families has Kizaru ruined exactly? Lol

Sengoku: Garp refused the promotion as he never wanted to directly serve the CDs.
Aramaki in the Reverie: Gets mad at Issho for trying to summon a meteor, actively holds back so as to never harm a CD, and gets pissed at Issho freeing their slaves
Not to mention Akainu getting summoned to Mariejois to stop Kuma from hurting CDs
But it's not their job to protect CDs, they've never done such a thing
My portfolio is like 60% Wizaru and I'm looking at a nice sexy profit rn, I except it to go much higher depending on how Oda continues his character arc.
Wuzan and Akainu are confirmed important players for the OP, Fujigoat and Greenbeans are hinted to have more going under the surface.
Admiral Scissors kinda caused a drop but I don't mind. Rocks is clearly built different and the full circumstances of the killing have yet to be revealed.
Considering the OP fandom's comically bad track record at predicting Admiral power levels, I'm hardly concerned by what people have to say anyways.
