The marines may have claimed Kuraigana Island, though we wait for a confirmation.
Jokes aside, Lakainu has obviously spent most of the timeskip coping and seething obviously, as well as being in meetings. But at least we do see that. In wano alone for example:
He sends Aramaki to the reverie
He talks to Kizaru about Big mom and Kaido´s call.
Garp says Sakazuki set the policy on leaving Wano alone
We see this as well
He is on call with Aramaki, most likely giving him orders
He discusses this with other marines, even Sengoku is present, but no Kong around for the issue of 2 emperors uniting.
At the end of the arc, we see Sakazuki in a meeting with the head of navy intellegence and Kizaru about Luffy becoming an emperor, revolutions around the world, etc again, no Kong.
And Oda is doing this in every arc post TS, and the same with Sengoku pre ts. No one is ever shown getting orders from Kong, and even when major incidents are happening, Kong is nowhere to even be seen *discussing* them

Nah the Han arc was great. This arc talked dealt with heavy ass themes of suicide, sacrifice, the identity of a country, whether or not the deaths of people are in vein, etc. these were some heavy ass themes.
I’m sorry the arc didn’t appeal to 30 year old dudes still arguing about Jutsus or whatever the fuck you Naruto idiots are even discussing, this manga just ain’t for you. I suggest reading something more to your reading level, there are plenty of other manga targeted at pre-teens just like Naruto, Kingdom is targeted at actual adults.

Oda is likely saving the current gen admirals for the final war. But he has been showing off old legends like Garp in Egghead and now Gaban in Elbaf.
Instead of Akainu himself going after Luffy, we might see Kong, Sengoku, and Tsuru get sent after the SHs alongside Sword and G-5.
They might not be arc villains, but could serve to still be enough of a threat to chase the SHs around.

If Oda sends Kong, Sengoku, and Tsuru, they can easily get defeated by the SHs, the BBP, or any other faction and it wouldn’t matter.
Also Garp is captured, so the old gen marines chasing BB would be warranted.
Oda might have them run into Luffy and clash before allying or something.
