let me know if you want me to take pics of some pages

sadly my majestic kittens Sprigatito/Floragato/Meowscarada are not there 😿 (there is apparently a small cameo of Litten that I need to find Where's My Waldo style) but there is around 300-400 included basically in their "natural habitat" in the wild

@RobertoTheOharaSurvivor Can you read Japanese? Are you planning on reading that guidebook through or you just treating it as a collector's item?
not at the moment, tried to start it 2 years ago but work has made it impossible

collectors item mostly but i did go through the book, since its basically a picture book with some captions on pokemon interacting with one another in certain habitats

If the book can be kept in pristine condition for two decades, the value of it should skyrocket. Easier said than done but it happened to retro consoles and Pokemon cards.

i don't plan to sell it. or any of the pokemon stuff i collect in general tbh. i have no interest in looking for a profit or hunting prices down the line from purchasing products. other people might but I'm not one of them, i collect it because i genuinely like and am interested in it and that won't change anytime soon

I had a copy of an artbook by Genzoman that I bought a couple of years ago. It's somewhere deep in a box in the storage room, collecting dust. If it had been kept in more pristine condition, it could have been worth at least a couple of times more than what I paid for it at Indigo.

I also had this Blue-Eyes White Dragon Yu-Gi-Oh! card back in the early 2000s, and after foolishly messing around with it, it accidentally got ripped in half because I treated it like a piece of paper instead of a valuable collector's item. That card could have been sold for at least a thousand dollars ten or more years later.

So I knew you never planned to sell it, since there's no guarantee the value would increase much beyond what you paid. Besides, most people buy collector's items because they actually care about owning them, not just for the sake of turning a profit.
