All of you have this shit sideways, including the OP.
Its not about Shanks being evil, its about him being contradictory. He has ALWAYS been portrayed as a harbinger of peace and good pirate. Thats not the problem.
The problem is he's decided to meet with people who go against the very thing he claims he strives for. The problem is that for someone who is seemingly "protecting" Luffy, he intends to attack his fleet anyway
The problem is that every single time Shanks talks about Luffy, there it is always painted in a very ominous and competitive light (i.e. my profile picture).
You guys need to start looking more into artist intent. There is a reason Oda draws Shanks this way, and it is not because he's Luffy's greatest ally. They arent allies whatsoever. This isnt even including dialogue that outright states they are at odds.

Told his crew to fall back, read up on Kidd before he engaged and asked for an update regarding his status, checked up on Blackbeard, saw the future and took action to change it.

Attacked Shanks' fleet before targeting Shanks himself
Thinning the herd rather than gunning for Shanks immediately isn't a bad plan though it was unintentional
The only problem I have is how quick everything went down. The pacing just felt off
Law at least got a 1-2 chapters to show up and show out... Kidd didn't even get a full chapter

Gotta give Shanks credit. He did not summon his whole fleet for Teach, he only brought his main ship to Wano where he thought Teach would be. So he only brought his one ship for Teach.
Shanks’ fleet already sailed out to face Kid without Shanks sending them. So Shanks didn’t send them to fight Kid, they made that decision on their own.

Then it explain why shanks suddenly went wano and goes all out his coc rage on greenbull like he see terrible future on wano for luffy and his friends. So shanks save wano country by prevent greenbull to attack more.

I mean, Roger too eradicated Squardo's crew. He is a good guy, who goes berserk if you cross the line. He was even kind enough to offer them leaving their Poneglyph's without a fight and asked if Kidd is fully recovered. But as Brogy said, if you come at their home with your gun loaded, expect annihilation.
