General & Others Am I the only one who thinks Elbaf isn't the next arc?

The anticipation for Elbaf is through the roof and I'm we will visit it soon, but the current mood is very similar to post EL when the SHs set course for Fishman island which we know didn't happen and ended up arriving there ~200 chapters later.

Shanks currently being there also doesn't help. He refused to meet Luffy after Wano, so I fail to see why they would meet so soon.

I don't think the current situation will resolve easily in a few chapters with just an escape. I feel like there's a big twist coming.

Jusy an FYI, but 1076 confirmed Shanks and his fleet were leaving the island as Kid arrived. He's likely not in Elbaf anymore.

So that shouldnt be a reason to not go to Elbaf now. But yeah its possible something happens in between

Luffy said he wanted to go to the sky island -> literally went there right after Jaya

Luffy said he wanted to go to Zou -> literally went there right after Dressrosa

Why do people get this idea that the SHs always fail to reach stated destinations?
Which is why Oda made Luffy say at Start of Arc "I wanna go to Mary Geoise"
Then proceeded by updating him on Sabo & Vivi News, but not Koby News (A Sub-Plot Unrelated to Mary Geoise)

Luffy is probably gonna be Captured
Marines will simply take him there, They aren't the ones to Defeat him

He said this when he (and us the readers) thought Vivi was in trouble. She is no longer relevant to that conversation lmao

To go to Marijoa now implies Luffy is defeating Imu now, which ultimately means that going to Laugh Tale is pointless because we know the true goal of the series is to end the current WG.

Why would Oda get Luffy caught an arc after he became emperor?
It doesnt make any sense.

Where does it say in Manga that Current WG are True Goal of The Series? And that Imu must be Defeated Last?

It doesn't matter if Luffy changed his mind or not, the point is that if Luffy ends up in Mary Geoise, then the Foreshadowing was there, and He doesn't mind such Scenario

The entire setting of the story built on the precedent that there is an entity (the WG) that has created the "current" world and all of its problems, and that Roger could not "do" anything to resolve it.

Like just read the entire Oden flashback? Or Whitebeards death? Let alone the entire manga telling you this lol.

Also, as others have pointed out, Luffy saying he'll go there does not mean its the next place to go. I.e. Elbaf is the most egregious example of this, being that it taking like a 1000 chapters since Luffy and Usopp claimed they wanted to there.

The Sunny may very well get damaged during the escape from Egghead, Kizaru will probably shoot lasers at it. To repare the ship, Franky would need wood from the Adams Tree, which almost certainly is on Elbaf.

I didn't say WG aren't Important or disagreed that They must be Defeated, all i asked for is a Statement that says "There are No Villains after Celestial Dragons are Defeated"?

And i didn't say Luffy talking about Mary Geoise proves They will go there, all i'm saying is that "If" He does end up going there, then He won't mind, and He suggested the idea before (That Scene basically confirmed that Luffy doesn't mind going backward, as simple as that)

Bro your first comment stated this:

This is what Im responding to. Im also not arguing he cant go there. Im arguing that hes not losing now this late in the story. Thats what the timeskip was for.

If we go there, itll be when its not a random diversion halfway back across the world.

That's just my Theory, i didn't say it's Proven, it's simply the Scenario i believe in.
Hawkins did say that Luffy's Chance of Survival is 17% (Alongside Zoro), so let's wait & see

But ask youeself logically, most little kids who read this manga arent counting the literal weeks of time passage or would remember this extremely small fact about one of Wano's first chapters. It was very evident for Wano and that plotline at the time
I also didn't give it any importance & i didn't base my Theory on it at all, my Predictions are based on completely other stuff.
But Oda was consistent with Time, He told us Raid in Two Weeks, then told us Luffy/Zoro needed a Week to recover, and then They left in 7th or 8th Day (Don't remember), and right after They left, Lulusia Kingdom got Destroyed which was recently confirmed to have happened Six Days ago

So as soon as Four Weeks pass, the Narrator comes & tell us: "Hey, something World Shacking is gonna happen tomorrow" and we are supposed to treat Hawkins Prediction as mere coincidence? Ofc not

We are literally in Day 29 or 30 since Hawkins Prediction & Narrator is Hyping something, so it's consistent.
I do take it Seriously.
