Good season overall, prefered S1 but S2 was good too

The pace overall was a bit crazy. So fast. We are going from one moment to an other so quickly. A bit too much for me. The show would have gained to have more more constructed arcs.

I didn't really like Black Rose/Mage Mel/Ambessa storyline. It wasn't bad and had good moments but it was really confusing. We still don't know shit about black rose, about what was Ambessa feud with them and what happened, and what Ambessa planned for Mel and Mage Mel wasn't my cup of tea. Ambessa and Noxus weren't treated that well in the end. Even if Ambessa character is overall during the 2 seaons quite nice and badass.

But we had really really good moment too. That Ekko episode in the alternative dimension was a masterclass. Crazy Jayce was fun. Jinx was overall quite cool too, and the first batch of episodes with Sevika and then Warwick were good.

The war was okay, had its moments, nice pace, lacked a bit of grandeur and scale, but was bloody and violent enough for us to believe it.

Overall Arcane two seaons were among the best animated show i have seen the past years, the animation was consistent at an insane level, and the story was overall good or great. Solid solid show, that will be binged again in a few years.

If they green light a s3 i could see Cate becoming a kuvira type of character

Arcane was original planned for 3 seasons but they combine scripts for s2 & s3, that's why s2 feels so fast paced and out of place sometimes

Season 1 was Excellent, i don't mind giving it 10/10,
Season 2 was Garbage though imo

Rushed, too much Fanservice, overuse of Slow-Mo, Music & Scenes that just feel there for Riot to flex their Animation & Art, not because it helps the Story, Pacing was Horrible, Bad Ending, Wasted Characters, Warwick Introduction was Hype but then He didn't feel like Warwick anymore, that's not the Champion i enjoyed for Years in the Game

Everything felt forced too, it's not like coherent or consistent, both emotional/dramatic Scenes & Action Sequences felt misplaced & just added cuz They wanted to draw them, not because the story doesn't work without them (Like in Season 1 that was very well crafted)

Viktor being revealed as Ryze Lookalike, Black Rose & LeBlanc being teased only to be used for Mel's Development cuz She is Next Champion in Game, Killing all those Characters, They didn't need to do all that

Season 1 had Top Food & Top Cooking,
Season 2 also had Great Ingredients but felt like it was given to People who simply decided to mix everything together on a Nice Looking Plate/Table & serve it, didn't taste that Good, it only looked Good & smelled Delicious but it's not

Biggest Reason i hated it is simply because it's "Unnecessary", They should have stopped at Season 1 & started working on other Regions.
Actually many Scenes in Season 2 could have worked in Season 1, like you could have added that Ekko Episode to Season 1 showing how He unlocked his Time Ability, you could made Viktor leave Jayce/Piltover & just teased that He is taking a New Path, you could have made Singed caught in Season 1 & Ambessa recruits him, while Warwick is hiding in Zaun (His Epithet in Game is literally the Uncaged Wrath of Zaun, just leave him like that & go expand on other Stories, not make him the caged daddy of viktover)

This way Season 1 ends exactly with those Characters as we know them from League, no need to force an Infinite Tsukyumi Arc.

I expected to see this Nightmare tbh, not Viktor's Puppet who looks more Human than Wolf.

I also thought that They would Introduce more Characters from Piltover & Zaun, no need to expand on Jinx/Vi Family Issues, that Story was Perfect in Season 1, instead They could have Introduced Camille & Urgot & Blitzcrank ... etc
They could have shown Jhin's Assassination Mission in Zaun, or Graves Heist in Piltover or Dinger's Weapon Inventions with Ziggs ... etc

Season 1 felt like opening an amazing book, Season 2 only had to continue reading it, instead it felt like it's about closing that book.

Arcane is mainly focusing on Jinx & Vi story

I hope we return to Zaun & Piltower region, sometime in the future

They really should have made 3

I understand for time reason (8 years for 2 seasons and the money, people invested etc) but story wise it was a bit of a mess

the different plot lines were a bit butchered and nothing had time to develop nicely

- Jinx hero of the underground was too fast
- Warwick plot line obviously was too fast
- Obviously Black Rose and Ambessa motives was wayyy too fast
- Same for Cate going back to her normal self and betraying Ambessa
- Even Victor who had his Fair share of screen time feels a bit rushed especially in the beginning

This season had great potential but left a weird taste

It wasn’t garbage but it wasn’t on par with S1 at all especially narrative wise

I did enjoy this second season but it felt too rushed and incomplete.

I have not watched all of the show but I think an issue with Vi and Jinx's relationship is that Vi did not see Jinx as herself but as Powder and as an idealised version of her and didn't see what she needed, that yeah she changed and did bad things but that she is a person,
