General & Others Are the complaints for WCI and Wano exaggerated?

Not at all. Both can be considered a giant mess and no continuity or proper storytelling. Tons of choices made by characters are ridiculous not to talk about the stakes and tension in both arcs.
For sure you can have your "cool" moments and etc... That doesn't change the fact that mentioned arcs are terrible and Oda didn't try while writing them.
Majority of people who consider either WCI or Wano "good arc" probably never read a book in their lives or live too much on nostalgia from the times when they were younger and could get charmed by stupidity of this writing easier.

Wano being 4 years long made it much worse than it should have been imo.
It also neglected a lot of storylines, setups and potential which makes it immensely frustrating too.
There are things I love about WCI and Wano and i prefer them over the previous post TS arcs generally too.
Also what some others said here too.
There's so much i could say about what both arcs did right and wrong but aside from the length of Wano and lack of non Luffy fights at WCI, I do prefer them over previous post TS arcs EASILY.

Among all the arcs, Wano and WCI are certainly the two arcs that I would not wish to re-read again.
WCI was a disaster from start to finish, no ups and downs, just constant disappointment.
Wano had fantastic ups with build-up and then came a terrible climax that didnt address anything...
I am surprised people arent complaining more about them.

No,they are very accurate.
-The space wasted on useless side characters reached its most insufferable point.
-Lolda started to treat villains like a joke.
-The main cast became so insufferable to the point that people said Cross Guild should be the main characters instead.
-Lolda destroyed all the sense of seriousness in the story.
-Lolda started to introduce plot points in which people are interested,only for throw them away like garbage.
Who pretend that none of this is true are Lolda's dick-suckers.

WCI yeah. Overall it was a good arc except for oda suddenly slowing it down when big mom was chasing The straw hats for the wedding cake.
But wano was terrible. It was built up for a decade. It was the longest arc ever in one piece. But it had arguably the worst villain in one piece as the main antagonist. It had the worst pacing with too many pointless side characters (Kawamatsu did not need to exist) with so much plot convenience and plot points that were never even touched after they were introduced it was absolutely terrible.
