Seraphim will be tamed and switch sides aswell.

So for the villains side you have: imu + gorosei + akainu + holy knights.
Post automatically merged:

Zoro is going to give Greenbull the pika treatment while Luffy fight Akainu.

Oda's writing is so predictible.
OP is known for world building + interesting mysteries.

When it comes to fight choreography, oda is as predictable as it gets.

Especially on zoro fights:

Struggle for a while, remember luffy/kuina, puts the headband, screams the name of a new technique, teleports behind the opponent, series a pose with a cheesy one liner.

That's it.

So, it looks like I'm probably going to take an L about Luffy vs Kizaru continuing, and a W on Kizaru not being down/done for this arc.

That being said, it is obvious, like 100000000% likelihood obvious, that Kizaru is going to betray here, whether it's an outright fight against Saturn or something more subtle (like him being an Uber Eats driver for Luffy).

This has caused a major change in how I see the story personally since I always assumed the Marines would be on the side of the WG during the final war, but now I doubt it.

Fujitora - good guy
Aokiji - good guy
Kizaru - good guy
Greenbull - bad guy (but he has a tragic backstory that Oda could do something with)
Akainu - bad guy

Narratively speaking the only marine that definitely has to fall is Akainu, and honestly, I'm not even 100% sure about that.

The thing is too, the Marines don't have to be villains because even if you take them away, the government remains utterly stacked:
- Imu and the Gorosei
- The Holy Knights
- The Seraphim
- A possible ancient weapon
- More unrevealed shit?

At this point the Navy seems more like a group of important side characters than antagonists.

Bonus question for Zoro and Sanji fans? Are you ok if they never fight admirals? Not power scaling wise but just narrative/cool fight wise? I always thought we'd get them agaisnt admirals eventually but I guess not.
King Flamingo told us the truth, marines are evil as it gets

Reminder that Dragon could already tell the WG and Marines were on some supreme fuck shit before he could even legally drink alcohol yet Kizaru who's like 55 years old is still acting like their puppet to this day :kobeha:
*Garp, Kizaru isn't acting, he's always been ok with it. Garp is the one acting like he's not supporting mass genocides.

Kizaru is more of a villain than not tbh, having a soft spot for close friends doesn't make you a good guy.

He doesn't support them. He heard Rocks and his gang were leaving to get Shakky back and wreck the CDs there and he did nothing.

And the problem with Kizaru is that we're supposed to sympathize with him but from what we've seen there's no reason to actually give a shit about his connection to Vegapunk especially since it just makes him look like a hypocrite and a baby. He's fine getting other people killed and having families ruined as a result of it, but the moment he has to do that to someone he knows he's crying like a bitch and trying to get Luffy to help him stop it from happening. And even after Vegapunk has died, and after he yelled at Akainu for doubting him, he still never thought "Wow... This feeling fucking sucks.. Is this what I've been doing to people by letting the CDs run amuck for so long?". How does Oda expect me to feel pity for someone like that?

Garp is a shitty person but I don't know why people act like he just doesn't mind innocent people being slaughtered by the CDs, he's always specifically avoided being in a predicament where he can defend the CDs and the one time he did so he felt such remorse for it he NEVER mentioned it to ANYONE since then, as Sengoku told us. He could have been fired and killed for that, which he knew, but managed to avoid that due to him being one of the strongest and most important assets they have.
Far different from Kizaru who Oda's also trying to portray as a good dude, but the difference is we have NO REASON to think that Kizaru is a good dude that's worth our pity and love. And people act like the fucker can't just rebel even though we coincidentally saw Garp, who supposedly can't say no to his job, try to WALK AKAINU DOWN IN BROAD DAYLIGHT after he killed Ace, requiring Sengoku to run over there and stop him before he killed Akainu.

I know, I said Garp is a shitty person (mostly because of things like throwing a young Luffy into the forest multiple times to defend for himself), but my point is he at least tries not to support the CDs as much as possible to the point where he risks getting fired for it. Garp is a way better character than Kizaru because he's far more consistent and actually deserves our pity.

Lol Kizaru is far more consistent than Garp, he's never been portrayed as a good guy, he just has some close friends as do the worst of villains to ever live. It doesn't make him inconsistent, it just means he's human.

Garp is a walking contradiction, Kizaru is perfectly fine with his duties as long as they don't involve personal friends or family. That is normal.
