Shanks being at elbaf felt out of nowhere
It didn't feel natural.
The dude has no RP, and never made moves cause he knew his rivals are too much but now he's about to get free RP COPIES he didn't work hard for
Teach was making moves but Shanks hasn't!
Even Roger had to trick BM, clash Wb before getting Oden

I mean I honestly doubt Blackbeard knows about the Zou Poneglyph. It clearly wasn’t talked about on whitebeard’s nor rogers ship until Rogers found the fishman island Poneglyph.
Honestly I feel like BB should have the FI Poneglyph while Shanks should have the Zou Poneglyph.

That leads BB Shanks and Luffy tied at three poneglyphs each. BB will then take Shanks’ WCI Poneglyph however, he won’t be able to sail to raftel since pudding can’t read the Poneglyphs.
Luffy will fight BB for the FI Poneglyph and BB will plan to take robin after killing Luffy. So this battle will be the ultimate battle of the pirate king as winner gets all 4 poneglyphs and someone to read them.

While I don't agree on the Blackbeard side of things, I do feel like Kidd vs Shanks on its surface feels contrived.
Not because I think Kidd and Shanks shouldn't fight, but because how we got here kinda flies in the face of what Oda established earlier.
Oda basically told us the next immediate islands after Wano are Egghead/Winner/Elbaf. All other points aside, we know the RHP was near wano as SH/Heart/Kidd was about to leave.
We know the RHP went a complete other direction to get to Sphinx. So how did they get o Sphinx and also manage to bypass kidd with such a massive gap that they were about to leave.
On top of that, if Elbaf doesn't have a poneglyph... why was Shanks there? He explicitly told Beckmann he wanted to go after the One Piece now. But this chapter suggests he didn't actually expect to run into Kidd. So unless Shanks is straight up lying or elbaf does have the last Glyph... it's all just very convenient.

I am not deflecting. I am trying to understand your basis of what you define as plot convenience because establishing that first would solve all our issues. So I will ask again, do you consider Tama's devil fruit being a plot convenience? or Big Mom falling a sleep right after rescuing Luffy from Udon?
They are absolutely not comparable or related. Yonko taking advange of the winnings of other Yonko is not a "plot convenience" compared to the two examples you give. Its hilarious that you actually think they are.

My god Lee. They are and they are not comparable or relevant to conversation. Tama's fruit was a means to conveniently turn the tide of a war on them. BMs memory shit was a means to keep her under control until she got to Kaido. They are plot conveniences.

So you do agree those are plot conveniences? Good, that means you are someone that can be rationalized with. If you didn't consider those plot conveniences then there was no point in continuing the conversation which is why I asked that question.
Now regarding my alternatives about Toki, I didn't say Shanks will ask her instead there could be some type of plotline where Toki understands Shanks will be an important figure to Luffy and she provides some means to the poneglyphs. Just like how Yamato was able to get Oden's journal, Shanks could have been given something similar by Toki. Since Shanks already voyaged with Gol Roger, I don't even think it is necessary to even have a subplot of him stealing poneglyphs via Kidd. We could have easily had a backstory of Shanks already having rubbings during his voyage but instead Oda decided to go the route of Shanks sitting on his ass for 20 years not even having the rubbings.
Also, I think you are under the wrong assumption that you think, I think my examples are good examples. They aren't. I told you already I am a casual, I am not a 25 year veteran writer. However, those examples I gave are better than what we got of Shanks sitting on his ass for 20 years and then needing to steal it from a rookie who happens to just have it. Also, there are a lot more talented people here on worstgen and on reddit who can provide a better sublot of Shanks "the pacifist" and the poneglyphs. It isn't hard to make up the plot that Oda just did.

You think contradictory examples (which you admit are bad) are somehow better than Oda logically giving a means for Shanks and BB to obtain RPs, specifically after hes explained why they do not have BM or Kaido's RPs for hundreds of chapters. That is idiotic.

Yes, that is my point, my examples are bad, but Oda's decision is even worse than mine. Shanks not having Kaido's and Big Mom rubbings, while Kaido and Big Mom not having each other's rubbings are unacceptable writing especially since Oda has wanked his story about "pirates being pirates trying to find the one piece", how great the yonko's are and yet none of them are interested in the One Piece. "You want me treasure, go and find it", "Great pirate era of adventure" and yet none of them has done anything other than sit on their asses in their islands and waited until Luffy to come and defeat them. The only character that cares about the One Piece is Luffy. Everyone else doesn't do anything. You can't hype up your story about this great battle of the One Piece how all these pirates are risking their lives and then have the most important pirates sitting on their asses twiddling their thumbs because "they are afraid of war".
Bad memory there for supposed OP critics. The BBP pillaged and destroyed Baltigo during WCI events. Wano also showed snippets of Teach reacting to the Levely and Wano events which developed later into assaulting Totto Land and Amazon Lily.
Mind you during the timeskip Teach was having his hands full with the Payback and Rocky Port battles to stabilize his emperor status.
