Kidd didn't even knew kaido has any Ponelglyps. Kidd motivation was all out revenge on him. Ponelglyps came out as a freebie for him which he was never aware of.
And for he just wanna know history. Even if he get one he will go to Robin straight away to Decipher it and learn it rather than to get one piece for themselves.
Its shanks/luffy/BB/kIdd who aim for One piece.

Shanks and Blackbeard are just two people who were biding their time.
Remember even Roger didn’t defeat Big Mom or Whitebeard before becoming king of the pirates. Shanks and Blackbeard both knew about the war in wano and seeing that the alliance against Big Mom and Kaido won it’s honestly just too convenient to be at the islands immediately after wano in order to take the prize for themselves.
It’s like back in Marineford neither Blackbeard nor Shanks fought; however, they came out as the winners. Blackbeard got the gura and a new crew and shanks got to bury whitebeard and aces body.

Just because you dont "like" something doesnt mean its "lazy writing" lol. So weird people say this like it has any weight
"Lazy writing" would have been Shanks/BB both had Zou/WCI/Wano poneglyghs for years and never mentioned it, contradicting what Inu said at Zou about the Yonko being stalemated because BM and Kaido both had one
The fact that Oda was able to plan it out in a way where Kid and Law both become allies to Luffy, both take RPs in their victories, both leave in separate directions and both get into fights with the remaining Yonko is frankly pretty decent writing all things considered.
Its also been planned for years, because Kid has a grudge against Shanks and Law was involved in the Rocky Port incident with Blackbeard (and Koby).

If, as is likely, Shanks has the fourth RP on Elbaf then essentially he’s in the same position as Kaido/Big Mom were. We also know that he really expects Luffy to be the one who changes the world anyway, not him. Kid’s the one stupid enough to pick a fight, can’t complain if he loses because of it.
And Blackbeard has absolutely put the work in. Waited til he got his first DF, built his crew, got his second, built his empire then went hunting for them. That’s just using his brains. Law of all people can’t complain, he wanted to let Kaido kill Doflamingo for him then had to have Luffy do it.
