jimbei and who's who seem to have a bit of history from his warlord days
that needs to be expanded

brook insist black maria is a good matchup for him with our current translation
nothing other than wishful thinking/pattern matching causes people to think this clash will happen.

matchups this arc have stunned most folks and am happy it did .
They don't have "history" at all. Why do people keep peddling this b.s.? WW just mentioned he saw him ONCE.

If Jinbe knew him, he'd recognize his theme/DF.

partially right and partially wrong

jimbei goes on to mention his face might be one he may be able to recognize
regardless its something that can be expanded on.
did he have that df when jimbei met him
maybe /maybe not....

brook and who's who
literally nothing but a fandom speculation......

Jinbe fighting a Tobi Roppo is just disgraceful... There are no solid evidence leading to WsW being Calamity level...

Sanji already has his swap, it's just fair for his "equal" to get a swap as well...

Brook makes more sense... He's just a burden to Robin's 1v1 and should get his own 1v1... Both are long sword wielders and WsW might mistook Brook as a masked man as well... Perhaps after Brook wipes BlackMa's fodders and Jinbe gets a significant damage due to the matchup (cats vs. a fish)...

I guess it's because Franky and Robin are both fighting a Tobi Roppo so they think Brook should fight a Tobi Roppo as well, also because Who's Who carries a sword and so does Brook so that's probably another reason why lol.
Aa lol ahah thanks for replying.
Yeah he could fight one I think he is strong enough, but he is doing an important job by having Robin's back

lol at calling jinbe sanjis equal. Jinbe is struggling with who’s who and jinbe has to find out who he is.

The only reason this match looks a little out of place is that WsW holds a sword while Jimbei is a martial fighter.
But everything else seems compatible, starting with their past relationship to the "cat versus fish" thing.
Also, I've always seen Sanji and Zoro above him for a simple narrative prospective (they are Luffy's right and left hands from the start of the story and I don't think this status will change until the end of the manga), so him defeating one of the 2/3 strongest Tobiroppo seams just fine if he doesn't struggle too much. An high diff win vs WsW is ok, while Sanji vs a Calamity has to be a very high diff/extreme diff win.
