hmm you mean deepthroating sukuna?
since manga states otherwise Sukuna was physically unable to release furnace to begin with.
No, that's a half-truth, you see.
Manga states he was physically unable to release furnace because he kept altering his DE instead of keeping it going steady.
What that means is that Sukuna willingly took actions that made Furnace unusable in the early fight, which goes perfectly hand to hand with what I've been saying for months now: he limited his actions by gambling on a plan to adapt to infinity and gain something out of the fight, which doesn't mean he would have been a defenseless little girl if he didn't have Ten Shadows, he would have just fought differently.

official scans state: "in his fight against Satoru Gojo, he changed the conditions for his barrier technique and continually restricted the effictive range resulting in insufficient firepower, so he had been sealing divine flame."
Pretty much, yeah.

As far as I remember, even Gojo noticed Sukuna was making odd choices moments before Mahogara was revealed as his playing hand.
And as we know that's not the only thing Gojo had to say about the fight after it was over.
Gojo did well, he almost got Sukuna for real for a moment, it was a good fight, nothing of that changes the rest.
