Kaido with Lunarian defense is more durable than Kaido without Lunarian.

Yes the defense stacked doesn't matter if the secondary defense is way weaker than primary defense (Lunarian) but if the secondary defense is comparable to Lunarian like diamond skin or dragon skin then it's harder to bypass.

Oda doesn't want to make Akainu look useless, imagine S-Hawk spamming magma dragons as big as Kaido's blazing bagua! It's funny that Shanks got a fire sword in the movie while in canon a Mihawk clone might have a similar ability.

It's possible they have it, but it's kinda useless unless this shield offers better protection akin to a raid suit. It's also possible VP incorporated it into the Seraphim to deflect minor attacks.

I wonder how that works though. Is it something like an eternal flame which they literally pull into their veins where it protects all tissue from harm? Can't think of any other explanation.
If Vegapunk can produce Seraphims with real lunarian flames (no charging required) that'd be the solution to a create a perpetuum mobile steam engine = unlimited energy source.
