Because op is not a real world and is simply the creation of one human man. Therefore, expecting him to create a fluid and logical world that mirrors reality is simply expecting too much. Kat can't use adv CoC because that wasn't a concept that existed when he was introduced.

there's still more to explore in Katakuri character

Katakuri will learn ad CoC imo and get much stronger

but why he didn't have it before? most likely because of BM being a wall he thought he can never break so he settled to be a perfect fighters under her wings to protect his family

I think his next development is to conquer his fears from BM and rise to be the new leader of the BM pirates

he doesn't lack the talent , he just have a mental block

Let us take King
1) No awakening for zoan
2) Devil fruit which was pretty much useless in the whole fight
3) No CoO or even CoA/hardening let alone CoC.

If not for his god race, he would have been done in.

Worst YC1 out there lol.

Hard work doesn't unlock CoC. Coc doesn't work like muscles or sword skills. You either born with it or you dont. Who knows maybe Zoro is the descendant of Ryuma given how they look alike.

There is 0 mention of "ACoC" anywhere in One Piece before Roger/Whitebeard fight. He didn't use "AdCoC" for the same reason Shanks didn't use CoA against a fish or Ace use CoA against Smoker in Alabasta: Oda hadn't come up with the concept.

first of all not all conqueror's can use AdvCoC.
second of all kata is trash.
the fact that luffy reached katakuri's level of observation in just a few hours immediately renders him obsolete.
and the fact that he didn't get stronger during the fight means that he already reached the limit of his combat potential.

his armament/observation/devil fruit was maxed out, according to his vivre card:


so i'm sure he had more than enough time to learn everything he could learn.

If big mom is defeated this arc and katakuri becomes captain of the big mom pirates, then he might come back with it

The reason he never had it before is because before he never had any reason to be a top tier. Nobody wanted to fuck with totland primarily because of big mom herself. But if she's gone, then totland will be really vulnerable and katakuri will need to become much stronger in order to protect his family.
