I think you can, and that's what Zoro did.

Technically, you can use CoC behind basic armament. Luffy already has done it.

So you can use CoC both in Level 1, 2, 3 of CoA, but Luffy did it with Level 3, and Zoro did it with Level 2 (like Scabbards).

You can coat yourself in COC so it is basically like coating COA just an extra added barrier

If Asura indeed represents a form of CoC it would only make sense to me.

Also combining the two could be pretty proficient to strike down EoS Teach. So it would be plot wise pretty pleasing.

Yes. You can imbued CoC with any levels of CoA and you can also imbued CoA with CoC as well.

Zoro didn't do any CoC cladding, no haki tendrils.
Luffy used internal destruction Ryuo (air bubbles) + adv CoC cladding with lightning sparks.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was CoC. But it was hardening + CoC, not internal destruction + CoC.
