You guys do realise that most of social policies today stem from communist/socialist idea?

Free education, free Healthcare, social security and so on

Non of that was in capitalism. Capitalism doesnt give a shit about working class. Just look at USA, Wanna go to college? God fucking luck buddy, oh you want an union? Go fuck yourself. What do you mean you have diabetes????

Capitalism is cancer, if not more than communism. People talk about freedoms but lets be real what kind of Freedom you have in capitalism?

Both have pros and cons. But communism is geared more towards middle class. And before someone comes to say Capitalism won in Cold War - yea it won bcs USSR had to spend billions on weapons just to protect itself. While Capitalism did earn more money it became broken and gave birth to what it is now.

Communism has bad shit, but it also has a lot of good. Hence why some European countries are doing so well

Both are shit. Capitalism is the pure evil and communism is a nice idea but for the wrong species. Communism has also brought dictatorship. Now you need to decide which one is the lesser evil.
I know many people who support communism and I was raised between them.
Personally I somewhat share the same view as Leo Tolstoy. I donโ€™t think that any revolution will bring peace or a great system because humans always have a bad side in them. The first step ( if you believe in it) should be a inner revolution. The human needs to change but thatโ€™s also impossible but regardless the right thing in my eyes.

First off nothing is free, free healthcare and education are both illusions.

Capitalism may have problems but atleast it's not the cause of more deaths than all the wars in the last century. Imo the greatest system is a mix of capitalism and socialism with the socialism aspects of a society being strictly regulated.

Capitalism right now kills more people than communism did.

Capitalism is an off shoot of imperalism that killed MILLIONS

Capitalism killed same if not more people than communism

A mix is best yeah, but capitalism is same dirt system as communism

Then don't call it free, you're still paying regardless.

Capitalism being connected to imperialism is an idea spread by Vladmir Lenin who was a Marxist and as all marxists did whatever he could to criticise capitalism and make it look bad. All the cons of capitalism today are the result of crony capitalism, the evils you're attributing to capitalism only exists because of the communists elements mixed with it.

Imperalism is everything capitalism is. Spread of the market across the globe by getting new assests via peaceful or aggressive ways

Whole point of imperalism is to get more stuff, increase buisness and industralize. First trading companies likr East Indian, Dutch and other started right during imperalism. First modern banks started during imperalism. First corporations started during imperalism.

And when Imperalism was banned bcs WW2 and WW1 stuff it was just renames Capitalism to be ok

Communism and capitalism are 2 extremes, black and white, of course the best system for everybody should be inbetween. The extremes are only good for the strongest in the society since they eat way more than what they will get in more balanced societies (even if actually a truly balanced society most likely doesn'exist).

Communism is an utopia, wonderful idea (everybody is equal) but it can't be done, in some ways it goes not only against human nature but against nature as a whole too. Like for animals even the human tries to always get more even if it goes against other humans. Every attempt at it ended bad one way or another. Capitalism is horrible on the chart and indeed pure capitalism doesn't exist in real life either, not even in dictatorships. There is always a portion of healthcare, some form of support for the poorest classes and so on that is needed. Otherwise it would be the law of the jungle, survival of the fittest, pure capitalism. The presence of the state is indeed needed to cover all these areas the market can not cover (cause there is no economic gain).

Just to make an example I would never ever go live in the USA. Young people has to pay ridicoulous taxes just to go to university, billionares pay less taxes than their secretaries, it is so unbalanced to the point some of these billionaries themselves are denouncing this fact. And this is just ridicoulous. A politician like Sanders is seen like a communist while what he is asking is just a system more balanced for everybody, see Europe. Most people can not even get cured if there is the need, the right of the working class are the same as a century ago. Then there is also the gun law which is just another symptom. It can't be removed despite its nasty effects cause the gun lobbies need to sell their product.

Then of course I don' live in the USA, I live in Italy, but even here (and in other Euro countries too) there is absurd data like the 5% richest own the same as the 90% poorest. And worldwide the 26 richest in the world own the same as the poorer half of the whole human population.

The mega rich are only possible because they've secured monopolies by getting laws passed in their favor. In a free market you wouldn't have such a huge difference, infact society as a whole would get richer eventually. Even if we can't get there, it's the ideal system of humans that we should strive for because we're essentially selfish and we work hardest when we see alot to be gained.

I say let capitalism run while only addressing the areas it's lacking in but don't go further. If we get rid of crony capitalism the world would be a much better place.

In a free market you will have the law of the jungle with the small difference that in a jungle eventually even the fittest living being reaches its apex then declines and dies. Here instead a company can grow indefinetely and potentially ate everything else. You can call it Amazon, Microsoft, Apple or Pear. The USA government even had to split Microsoft, an american society, cause it was too big years ago.

Also, without going to the stars, in a system where only the ones who work get to gain what will happen to handicapped people, the elderly and so people who can't get their share? This is why pure capitalism is a monstruosity and actually doesn't exist. Even in Germany with Hitler the system tried to erase jews, roms, gays etc. But nobody would have followed Hitler if he also started to throw the elderly in the streets cause they were no longer productive (happened to hear this stuff referred to the "productive categories" opposed to the no productive ones in some public debates about who give first the covid vaccines).

Also, now that I mention the covid vaccines, what should we do? Only the richs get the vaccine while the poor die in the streets without even a bed or oxygen? If we don't vaccine the whole world in no time vaccine resistent variations of the original virus will come back to bite us in the ass. Not talking about the horror to see people you can save die like dogs. You see, even by looking at it from a mile and with a superficial analysis it is evident a system like this can not exist. You would actually see the stuff you find in some dystopian anime/manga where a supercorporation took control over the world.

In a free market huge companies that dwarf everyone else in a market wouldn't exist, facebook, google, amazon and apple would all have several competitors. Monopolies only occur when the government interfers in the market to give an edge to one side through government policies that help them.

Hahahahaha, what the fuck has capitalism done for you that makes it worth defending?? Yโ€™all part of the 1 percent, or are you regular fucking people who never actually benefit from the false promise of trickle-down economics??

Like, all capitalism has done is turn me into an indentured servant who works for suppressed wages that do not begin to cover the ever-skyrocketing costs of living, and itโ€™s romanticized dedicating your life to a cold, unfeeling corporate machine designed specifically to keep people like all of us from advancing far enough to hang with the oligarchs who control it. What am I missing here?

The Fox is winning society while the Lion and the Lamb are suffering from it.

Who cares about you being righteous and gentle when the winner is tricky, charismatic and image driven ?

...Are you agreeing with me or not, Gargsy? Either way, morality does not play any sort of role in capitalism, although its place in communism doesnโ€™t seem any more defined to me, I guess.

If I had to choose only between Strict Capitalism and Strict Communism, I would choose Strict Capitalism because in Strict Capitalism, I can dream of achieved a Glorious Live even if it's far... Hardly reachable, while Strict Communism would mean that no matters what I do, I will hardly be able to better my condition unless I go full rebel.

But I talked about Extrems. Like choosing between 50ยฐC water and 10ยฐC water.

The good temperature is somewhere between these two temperature.

What I want for people is Food, Housing, Water, Health and Education.

The rest is up to debate.

Wtf, capitalism is literally the only thing that would allow you to escape such a situation, never in history could a poor person work their way to a better life for themselves except in capitalism.

Communism would work you to your bone and still have you remain at your same situation 10 generations from now.
