Yep, I am trying to remember a long-running manga I liked with a good ending and the only one I came up with is FMA. Death Note was shit after L died. Both Bleach and Naruto last big war arcs were rather disappointing to me. MHA also wasn't that great. Undead Unluck and Black Clovers kinda both have almost Disney endings (yeah, BC is still ongoing but the main fight ended so I guess the next chapters can be an epilogue). JJK ending was also underwhelming. Even my favourite Eyeshield21 has an underwhelming ending. Fairy Tail had no ending basically. Seven Deadly Sins got so bad at a certain point that I dropped it, something I do very rarely.
Hmm, trying to remember Soul Eater, I don't remember being too unhappy about it. Shaman King got a bit weird in the end.
So yeah, very difficult to find a good ending.

Bleach final war was nice, but editors forced Kubo to rush the ending. I heard the anime will have a different ending, but don't quote me on that.

I guess I need to re-read that as a binge-read and not on the weekly basis. There were indeed a lot of epic moments, but the very end didn't live up to expectations.
Also it was kinda funny to see shippers go wild with "oh no Ichigo x Rukia didn't happen".

"It's just a dream" endings are always so shitty and lazy though. You can do it with literally any story
