Dude is hailed as top 5 nen masters with only what he showed so far.
Let me explain here what this top 5 contains potentially
1 gings father who is chilling in the dark continent, confirmed alive by the hunter association somehow.
2 Neteros son, hinted at being stronger than PRIME netero
3 Ging, master of the battlefield, iq like gods, never needed to activate his main abilities in the company of the zodiacs, strongest zodiac also.
Do you understand the quality of these fighters, they are godlike.
Chrollo will evolve in the dark continent, he is probably the only one making it alive from his troupe anyway.

Strategy and ability to cohesively combine random Hatsu abilities with each other. Ging could also possibly do that but Chrollo atleast has shown it.

- Don is 300 years old. Its unlikely for him to be alive and hes cetainly not Ging's father. Ancestor perhaps. Either way nobody has proof hes alive....thus he wouldnt be in Top 5 Nen users.

Chrollo literally negged Hisoka. Thats a crazy fricking feat. Sure him being able to neg someone that strong depends on intel and prep time...but still an insane feat. He also survived two grown Zoldycks assasins without intel, prep or bloodlust. He never tried against the Zoldycks and they still couldnt kill him. Thats another insane feat.

Chrollo literally negged Hisoka. Thats a crazy fricking feat. Sure him being able to neg someone that strong depends on intel and prep time...but still an insane feat. He also survived two grown Zoldycks assasins without intel, prep or bloodlust. He never tried against the Zoldycks and they still couldnt kill him. Thats another insane feat.

Chrollo negged trolling Hisoka and then got negged by Kurapica.
Beyond and Ging are different types of beasts. Don Freecss could be alive also, Ging hinted at that, saying that Don is probably still writing his novels in the dark continent.

Immo I dont get the feeling that Chrollo is even close to the top nen users in this series, I think that a Kurapica level fighter wont be able to neg diff people on that level, it would be comical, if this was the case.

Theres no such thing as a Kurapika lvl fighter. Kurapika is an inconsistent self destructive fighter who trades his lifespan for power. He then creates another restriction to use his strongest ability on only one group of people. His PL changes dependant on the people hes fighting.
Kurapika against Chrollo would be lvl 100
Kurapika against Ging would be lvl 40
Why ?.....because Chain Jail is his most hax ability and he can only use it on the PT. Remove chain jail from Kurapika's aresnal and Chrollo neg diffs him with no prep needed. Heck Uvogin destroys him mid diff to.

I have no clue where you got Prime Netero no diffs Mereum. Its not stated anywhere Its literally impossible to no diff Mereum....even Pre Rose Meteum. Prime Netero still gets his ass beat from Mereum. Remeber Mereum was restricting himself to snatching limbs. He couldve decapitated him the first chance he got....instead of taking his leg.

Chrollo is Kurapika level fighter at best, he isnt lasting long vs the big boys of the verse, he has to much to learn in the nen verse, his chances to survives in the dark continent are close to 0. Beyond will own tho.

Mmm no, Netero was not even stated to be top 5 nen users. Being top means he is an extreme damn god fighter. As it was already stated that Nen hunters users use some sort of combat power.
And all the Zodiacs were chosen by Netero so he could spar with them all, his favorites were Pariston and Ging. So Netero indeed fought them all. Seeing how Hisoka rated them and was extremely interested on Ging, we can asume Ging is the strongest of all of them. Ging's information is top classified even between the top clasified archieves.
Netero literally said that Pitou was stronger than him, so he wasnt on their level, he might defeat them with extreme diff and seeng how Gon with full potential unleashed was able to defeaet Pitou, we can assume Gon was stronger than Netero.
Mereum raped Netero lol.
Believe me, Netero was not the strongest and not top 5.

Yeah, so much screentime of Chrollo and he was never mentioned to be a top 5 or top 10. He had to make a god tier prep to defeat Hisoka, which is a great feat, yet still had to gain extra abilities from his troup to do so.
IMO, the top 5 nen users has not been even presented and maybe just Beyond Netero is part of this top 5. And Ging's grandpa is not even part of this top 5, no one knows if he is alive, it was just a theory of Ging.

Kurapika indeed has the counter to the Spiders, yet still could capture Chrollo with a mere plan where he closed his eyes for a second. It was off guard indeed, but still.
And you are just wrong with his battle with the Zoldycs, Chrollo had to use a move to neg damage and was aiming to rob their abilities. He was not going for the kill, but was serious to to rob them.

Netero said himself he wanted to face the strongest opponent when he fought Meruem. There is no human who could face Netero in HxH outside adult Gon let alone 5, it wouldn't make sense cause Netero would have fight them. Zodiacs are just his favorites partners to spare with them, he didn't recognized them as great challenge lol.
Like I said before, Netero reseached the greatest opponent that is able to beat him, he never find him until Meruem appeared in KA arc which means no one can defeat Netero.
Old Netero stomps every human and that's a fact.
Gon has nothing to do with top 5 nen users and yes he's above Old Netero in aura. Each RGs is above Netero in aura but Kannon makes the fight very different.
