Who was in your opinion the closest man to Dragon, Kuma or Ivankov?

In my opinion it was Kuma because he knew that Luffy was Dragon's son, while Ivankov was unaware of the fact that Dragon even had a son.

Ivankov had full access to newspapers when he was in Impel Down.
He was also present during Sabo's rescue 12 years ago, when Luffy was 7

They are not equal at best only the Fleet Admiral would be yonko level, but seeing how Sengoku failed at MF not even that.

But also to be fair he was not in his peak

In that case then, I believe it was Kuma seeing how he has Bigger Role, knows Vega better and took a Secret Mission that Ivankov wasn't informed about

well wg was obviously interested in kuma because of his race so literally no one else could have gone on that mission

and as for knowing luffy that could be connected to the mission for all we know

And sabo entered later. and he is already the n2
It makes more sense that before sabo was kuma the n2 and that after he left the post sabo became it

Then kuma has a better role than iva being a schichibuka so a character of more relevance

Iva likely didn't even know Dragon's first name else he would've made a connection with Luffy lol.

- it was before Kuma being a Shishi
- before Iva spending years in prison

People here really underestimate Iva and it is quite funny.
The only real argument. would be that Kuma knew about Luffy being Dragon's son before Iva.
Iva stayed in Impel Down gathering an army that would eventually implode it and join the main forces, but, by their reaction to Kuma in Marineford, they had no idea about Kuma's mission. At the same time, neither did Sabo nor the other revo commanders seemed to know that as well.
Sabo rescued Kuma out of sentimentalism.

Having said that, is not unusual to give secret missions to people. It doesn't necessarily mean that you trust that person more, but more often that you think said person is better suited for the job.
Eventually it all boils down to "who do you like more between these 2" than an actual fact.
Shaka makes no distinction between Iva and Kuma, Iva herself was on a solo mission for Dragon as much as Kuma, and you can just give arguments in favor of both of them.
So just chill and remember that, today, Sabo is the number 2 anyway.

I think ivankov has been driving force behind for revolutionary army . He provided protection when baltigo went down.

Jailed in impel down and recruited several revolutionary at the time.

Both. But Shaka specifically puts Ivankov name first then Kuma later. Dragon only seemed to trust Kuma more because of his past as a former king and his fruit just happens to be useful for the WG. So Dragon lets Kuma become Vegapunk’s experiment specimen. I don’t think you would give your most trusted man as a lab rat unless it’s special circumstances.

Like I said, Dragon provided Kuma info about his son because he will bump into him one day. And Dragon didn’t expect Luffy to appear in Impel Down either. So both of them have prominent roles, they just happened to suit their job specifically.
