Well in my state, there’s been the most deaths in the US, iirc. But it’s not that huge of a deal/inconvenience to me if you don’t count the fact that a major convention was just postponed and other things that are being changed. What freaks me out is how people are acting like basic sanitary standards are novel ideas. I’ve always been grossed out by the lack of hygiene but the whole “OMG it’s suddenly impossible to keep soap and disinfectant in stock” BS is like “umm we’re you not washing your hands and cleaning before this?”.
Is there a single person in the world who truly believes China numbers tho?? I think we probably need to add 2 or 3 zeros to get their real figure, seriously... when you compare how fast it spread in other countries, there is no way in hell a country like China, with dense population and DURING THE LUNAR NEW YEAR PERIOD, with massive movements, has "so few" cases....
I live in Korea, number is really high but that's for the simple reason they're very efficiently and quickly testing a large amount of people (they even have drive-thru testing centers).... it's definitely better to get higher "officially recognized" number of patients if they can successfully monitor and treat them, than hiding the truth and let things getting crazier in the mid-term.... Also, here it's quite common to use anti-pollution masks so that at least helps a little bit to contain the spread (wont stop it but better than nothing).... I dont know how the foreign media explain about it, but one major reason for the fast spread of the virus here is due to some fucking cult, a fake bigass christian sect, who are not helping by hiding the real number and identity of the members (over 200,000), the location of their facilities, etc.
Anyway i am much more worried for France and Italy.... :(

2-3 zeros would be 8 million or 80 millions... That's night impossible considering that China is closing specifically-built coronavirus hospital(s).
From what I have heard, South Korea's number is so height partly because they're really strict, testing a lot of people.

I see : S we are witnessing the same here in Italy. Even kids can't wash properly at school here, all is definitely so dangerous, schools have been closed in fact. And many other places.
It's sad how fast this virus is spreading. We got 130 new deaths yesterday, in a country of 60 millions people. And sadly this is just the inescapably beginning.

Chinese kicked out the foreign media so we lost the accessof the news . We cannot trust their sources , have to wait untill Xi jinping says it untill then i won't trust their CCP cult channel spread.
Good news is Israeli pharma company have already come up to tackle in stopping the virus from mutating further . The timing of the drug across world wide will take another six months.

The thing with novel corona is its contigous and three time worse than common , dont fall into propaganda of your politicians or media channel . Update yourself with WHO guideline you'll be safe.
I 'd say its true most people overlook basic hygine. In japan , the school kids are expected to clean their own school surrounding.

I’m always updated on WHO and CDC guidelines but I’m pretty much home bound and never listen to media. I used to work for a medical library. I’m aware of how COVID-19 is transmitted. The first case in the US was in the town where my nesting partner works. I simply refuse to give into paranoia. I’m always washing my hands and being cognizant of basic sanitary practices. I know what is appropriate antimicrobial response and what isn’t. I always get my flu and pneumonia vaccines as well because my network includes immunocompromised individuals and I’ve got asthma. So it’s a concern but not panic worthy. Thank you though. I believe in preparedness, not paranoia or panic. ^_^
Ok, now starts the deep shit. The whole Italy has been marked as red zone starting from tomorrow, only people who have valid and concrete motives can move (work, health), no groups of people allowed so bar, restaurants, cinema and the likes, Everything closed. And since we are the forerunners in this hellish race I wish to everybody good luck for the weeks and months to come.
