As a BioMed student , i studied Microbiology all i can say is Chinese Virology department did not cause this outbreak . Why ? Virus needs medium and it does not survive beyond sustain temperature or last long without living body .

Some of the users here never visited Virology labs , it is truth they deal with pathogens as dangerous as SARS etc but they are contained in certain temperature . Its not like the Planet of Apes kind of stuff the disease leaks outside killling millions and labs follow certain protocols that are adhered by International community . If Chinese did not follow it , Scientist across the world would figure it out .

Most of the scientist on note have said Virus did not originate in labs btw rest assured Virology department do not work on making bio weapons other than testing pathegon's study .

And consesus around scientists doesnt mean truth as science revolves around testing and observing, not opinions. Unless they can bring out facts about the subject, you are not saying much. Ive seen some rebuttals of this and tbh they just made me believe it more. Its pathetic. However, The virus is dangerous because there are no vaccine at the moment and rate is around 3 times the normal flu , it'll take six more months by the time we get the vaccine at best we go by WHO guidelines . Wash your hand cancel any public gather meeting , cancel any holiday trip if you are planning trip to europe.

Virologist dont create bio weapons.The bio genetics are in area of specialisation of bio medical Engineer.
